Memorial day weekend, any plan?

It is Friday, last day of this week, and we gonna have a long weekend, since Monday, May 30th is Memorial day, we would have a day off from work, probably school too. So, what is your plan? Going anywhere? Most of my co - workers would take at least three days off, start from today, they either drive across states going somewhere, majority of them would go to Florida, some of them go to Chicago. For me, I am still on a saving mode, so I can't really go anywhere. A friend of mine ask me to go to Panama city, Florida, stay by the beach. I want to go, but he wants to stay there 4 days, and I don't have 4 days weekend, so I pass it. Oh well, if any of you having a plan for this long weekend, have fun and enjoy!

I wish we had a day off but we really don't. My husband and I both, work seven days a week right now. We are going to make time to get in the swimming pool and cookout though.

Memorial day usually kicks off the barbecue season in my family. We always plan a huge family cookout on Memorial day. if there is a parade in town we will go and watch it. there is usually an awesome neighborhood yard sale that weekend as well. it seems to always rain in my area over memorial Day. nature must know of my plans.

My husband and I have a date with a paintbrush. This weekend we will be painting the bathrooms as well as rearranging the cabinets. My husband and I are in the process of getting a lot of home improvement jobs done by the end of the summer which has really put a hold on our vacation. He is part-time and if he was to take time off for a vacation he would not get paid for it. On Monday my husband and I will be going to the cemetary to leave flowers for his dad and his grandfather. I am sorry you do not have an opportunity to go out of town as it sounds like you could have used a mini vacation.
