Our home is on the corner of two roads. Both those roads are dead ends. One paved, one not. One road has the river where people put their boats in the water and the other is just a long row of homes. Even though they are dead ends we still get a lot of traffic. Sometimes there's a little rowdiness or trouble on the rivers end but for the most part its pretty nice and quiet around here. What kind of road is your home on?

The road I live in is between two streets that are very busy. One of them has many jewelry stores and some barbershops/beauty salons. The other one is full of restaurants. The restaurants include: Chinese food, Mexican food, Dominican food and Italian food. These restaurants are always busy. All you see is people going in and different people coming out.

that kinda sounds like fun! You have to get in your car to go to dinner and lots of other things. I would also find myself people watching!

I live along the surfaced road that runs by the farm that my Grandfather bought in 1905. My father and I were both born in the farmhouse, (28 years apart) and my son lives there today. About 15 years ago the road was named after our family. My wife and I built a house about a 1/4 mile up the road from the farmhouse in 1979, so we all live by the road that runs along past the farm.

Hi. devideddi. I live on a road that is paved. It is so much of traffic that is constantly coming up and down the street that is front of our trailer. I live directly in the front, so I can hear when cars, trucks and all kinds of vehicles pass my home. It is really loud because there are many truckers that pass up and down the road constantly. It is like every 2 to 3 seconds, cars are always passing on this road. We live on the main street, so traffic is very busy in front of my home.

that sounds like a lot of traffic, maybe too much. But I guess you get used to it.

My husband and I currently live in an apartment. Our apartment complex is luckily not right along the road. We set back in. What's interesting though is that we go out onto a quiet, rural road but right on the otherside of that is a busy, 4 lane road! This is all new to me because I grew up on a quiet country road! lol

Hi there, I live in a huge busy city, with lots of businesses on every block. I also live right across a beautiful park for which I so love to walk around and see the children play baseball. I am also near a huge river side, for which I also enjoy visiting during the summer. Our streets are busy all the time, though lots of traffic not as noisy as one would expect.

I live on the south end of Main Street, a four lane street. I am just about a block from campus for a small Christian College. Past the college is a railroad track. This is the southern city limits. On my side of the street there are four houses in our block. Across the street is a real estate office, a sharpening service, a physical therapist and an auction service. Since auctions happen at night the customers can park at the physical therapy place. It is pretty quiet, unless my next door neighbors decide to have a night time party. They are second shift people so their parties start about 11:30 pm. I sleep with open windows. It has only happened one time, if it happens again I will call the police. The other neighbor on the other side builds demolition derby cars as a hobby. Has a garage on the alley. Behind us on the alley are a couple our age, with a home based business, a family of people, maybe two in one house. Then the church parking lot, and the last neighbor on that block just became a police officer. Across the street that direction is my church.

sounds like you have alot right at your fingertips also. We have one house also that party's with the loud music. I don't mind it though because they don't keep it going for that long when its that loud. I just always wander where or what their kids are doing. (they have 3 young ones)

our home is in between 2 corner houses. there's just 3 in our block. in this road there are houses, stores, companies/business. a couple of blocks away is our city hall, the police station and the city health office. there's a couple of schools also nearby: a medical college and a montessori. it's a pretty quiet neighborhood but we also get a lot of passersby from those living in the next village or those who work at the companies nearby. another block towards a different direction is also a river. but one has to walk down about 50 or so steps to reach the river itself.
