Have you ever wonder why Jollibee doesn't has the bumble bee's color?

Last night we passed a Jollibee food chain that is different from the usual Jollibee building all around the country.
What makes it different is...the building is painted yellow and not the usual red like how the Jollibee icon looks like (red, yellow and white)
Then my kids started to asks, why is Jollibee red, yellow and white...when they saw mostly in the movies and pictures that bees, particularly "bumble bee" is yellow and black.
They exchange ideas and have a good time debating about the color till we reached to one mylotters house and we had some late snacks -it's almost 10pm.
Have you ever asks in your mind or to anyone why Jollibee is red, yellow and white.
Let's have fun with Jollibee dear friends and mylotters

Hi Jai!
No idea about Jollibee food chain and its colour. It is not at least in Delhi, so I simply have no idea about its colours. But does it matter if it has different colours than what you expect or the food served in this chain matters?

I understand that it is a fast food chain in Philipines.
If you are making efforts to open its branch in New Delhi, you be the CEO of this Branch, that will be most welcomed.

one of the Jollibee franchise owner near my place is an Indian who marries a Filipina.
and they are thinking to bring Jollibee in India but there's some problem since Jollibee serves beef and pork..which other beliefs in your country don't accept as food..so...since it's business...they're having second thought (or they might lose their money)
I've met few of them while having some transactions regarding legal matters.

That's the new color of Jollibee food chains- yellow and brown, I don't like it though, it looks serious.
Maybe the color of Jollibee isn't the same with real bees becasue real bees are harmful. And kids might mistake real bees to Jollibee.

hello mara,
That's nice...i thought i was the only one who feels like a kid thinking why JOBEBEE has those colors ,hehehe...me and kids even called Jollibee- Jobebee
Maybe that could be one of the best possible reason, the owner like the color red.
thanks for your response and have a great day always

Jai beti
Hubby had told me about this fast food which is so popular in Philippines, he was served in houses of his friends while he was in your country, but he never ate, we don't eat pork and beef.
You know about our 'Jalebi' a sweet, color is yellow, full of sweet sugar syrup?
Many foreigner who visit india and eat this, wonder how the syrup is injected in to Jalebi?
Thank you so much for sharing
Blessings from maa.

No, not at all maybe because I like the way Jollibee is. It doesn't matter to me anyway as long as the food tastes the same. It's one of my favorite and my family's favorite too.

Thank you also. You are right, the food really matters more than the color but our kids really enjoy Jollibee. I think they sometimes love Jollibee more than us, hehehe.

I guess it has something to do with how buyers perceive color. Believe it or not, colors have a great impact in our decisions in life. If I remember it correctly, Red, Yellow, and Green are all good colors for food. I guess that's the reason why most restaurants use those colors to attract more customers.

It never cross my mind, though I think that being jolly the company picked the colors red, yellow and white to attract attention especially the kids putting black is a no no and they can easily be recognize too.

hello stanley,
That could be one possible reason...esp the food chain's target market are kids,so they really need to have a powerful and colorful icon or design to attract kiddies.
thanks for your response and have a great day

Hi Jaiho,
Maybe because those colors are more attractive than a simple two colors
Maybe I don't care what will be Jollibee's color will be as long as the chicken and spaghetti taste good
happy mylotting

I remember from as a child psychologists that the caller red or vermillion (if you ever want to be classier, vermillion is the best term for the color red)Is a very attractive caller to children. Have you notice the obsession of The Filipino children to the mascot Jollibee While American kids loves the clown Ronald Mcdonald? They have one common denominator in it's the color red. Have you noticed automatic instinct of children whenever they saw the Jollibee mascot. They hugged him as soon as possible. While the ignored the other mascots. The other Mascots have change their designs but Jollibee maintain his classic looks.

Cap,
I never noticed actually about those colors or never been bothered why the color is red, yellow and white.
It only strikes to my mind when my kids start saying..."kids might think that real bees has colors like jollibee" there's logic right?
Like how kids or small kids think that wild animals are friendly because of cartoon characters and cartoon movies where wild animals are friendly and lovable.
This even lead to a kid who is almost killed by a lion in Hongkong i guess.
Well...it's business...and what is trend,go for it,it works for them anyway.

Hello gurl,
The bee still the same colors with all the Jollibees, only the building,it is painted yellow.
Maybe there is an agreement between the franchisee and the owner of that branch.
thanks for your response and have a great day
