Why isn't my icon animated?

Whenever I go to my profile, my animated profile image is moving just as it should be. However, I have noticed when I respond or comment to discussions, my little icon that is supposed to be animated... is not. :(
Earlier, before I uploaded my GIF image to my profile, I researched past questions here on MyLot on how to upload GIF images properly here on MyLot so they will move. I found out the must be resized to 60 x 60. So, I resized the GIF image using a GIF resizing program to 60 x 60.
However, It is still not moving. Again, it is moving on my profile page, but not as the little icon beside my name when I comment or respond.
Can any of you more experience MyLotters give me some insight on why it is not working for me? :(

Well at least I am not alone! LOL :D
Hopefully an experienced MyLotter who knows for about this will come along and respond to this discussion.
Then me and you both will have working images, haha! :-) Mine is supposed to softly hover, slightly moving it's wings up and down. ^_^

Hi sjvg, I gave you the suggestion last week and owlwings also gave you the application you need to re-seize your animated gifs.
In case you missed it, here it is as it is very easy to re-seize the animated gif without ruining the animation.
1. Download the application to your pc, and yes it is very safe as I have been using it for a long time.
2. Upload your current animated jumping gif then set the setting for 60 x 60. If it has way too many graphics you can go a bit lower, so as long as it does not exceed 60 x 60 it will work.
Here is the link and it is not a referral link:

I too had the same problem till I read somehere about the size of the animation not being more than 60*60 pixels. I create my own animations from images I capture from my garden. I feel so nice changing my avatar now and again.
Welcome back with your new name which I learnt as I was going through some responses here.

I got it only twice and I am showing that off in my profile - thanks to Sharon Bucks and her tasks which I miss so much now.
About my avatars I have an animation software. I only need to feed my images there and choose whatever animation I want. I feel so nice when I get the results. Only problem is I have to cut down the size to meet myLot requirements.
I enjoy your repartee with angelee - You two make a perfect pair!

Wow, I too am surprised to hear that you make your animated avatars yourself. That is very cool, and so unique! :D Your avatar looks very nice, and I honestly would have never guessed you had made it yourself! :-)

Hi mysdianait! :D
Yes, I decided to just keep this one. It's similar to the one I had at first, but just a bit smaller. :-) ...and of course it fits with my name! It has to! :D Haha.

Hi angelee and re-welcome back.
It appears to be working so not sure what to compare it too. But yes it has to be 60 x 60 and maybe the other one had way too much allotted graphic therefore, if you made it a bit smaller it might have worked.

My goddness!
So many moving avatars now that if we're not careful we'll get dizzy!
They are so much more fun though and they make the pages come alive!

Hello hardworkinggurl,
Thanks! :-)
Yes, I have decided just to use this one as it is working without a problem. The other one was 60 x 60, but I do not know why it did not work. It was just a smiley with wings that "floated". It didn't have too much movement.
Oh well, this one isn't so bad. :-) I am starting to like it! ^_^
