When I was in collage in a girls dormitory, one of my roommate was talking while sleeping. We all wake up because of her loud voice and we saw her talking but closed eyes. One of my roommate talked to her and she answered correctly. We all laughed and she recognized it and finally she waking up. Now when my son was 3 years old, he is like that, talking while sleeping. sometimes we saw him climbing in the window but closed eyes. Sometimes i experience it also when I was so tired all day. Have you experience it also?

Yes that is true. When somebody talking while sleeping they can answer and tell the truth whatever you ask them. My father told me that when he was teenager, he encounter somebody who was crazy when sleeping. He did not talk but he will go outside the house with eyes close and walk without direction. That's so weird!!

Well, i'm asleep at those times so I wouldn't know. Haha! But people around me always comments about my sleep talking. I talk during sleep, however the words were not that clear as my home buddies pointed out. They also tried to extract information off me whenever I do that. Good for me I never spill out anything during those times! I think others when tired just snores and doesn't talk during their sleep. Does snoring and talking during sleep have the same causes?

I experienced talking while sleeping when I was so tired :) I think it's normal when we go to sleep after a very tiring day... But I think it's sleep walking that is scary argh. I can't imagine myself walking while my eyes are closed haha..

My partner and children have spoken in their sleep.. I have too and woken myself up by it... our neighbours daughter sleep walks but with her eyes open, they said its scary. She looks so blank and stares straight through you. She has no memory of her sleep walking the next day.

Hi! Yeah, I've experienced that, too. I, myself have talked while sleeping. I remember once it happened to me. I remember because the moment I talked, I instantly woke up and realized I was talking. But I only spoke a few syllables since I woke up immediately. But it is indeed fascinating to hear people talking in their sleep. I've heard some of my friends, and relatives talking in their sleep. What's more fascinating is when you talk to them, they reply! Some would even ask for numbers which they can bet on in the lottery.

Ah yes, I already experienced this. My sister is the witness of my sleep-talking episode. I think that was three years ago. I have been working in a nightshift schedule and definitely I lack sleep. I think it really correlates with stress and lack of sleep. This kind of episode is just normal and cannot be considered as a major problem not unless if it is accompanied with sleep apnea. One thing also, do not eat heavy meal right before bedtime. This can also contribute to the sleep-talking episode. Happy mylotting!

hahaha!! I think I had that once when I was a kid. I sleep right beside my family who are playing cards.. then I think, I was dreaming and then talking at the same time, then my mother keep on asking me and I keep on answering then they all laugh and I did realize that oh!!!??? what did I say? I don;t even remember because I was sleeping and was just awaken by their loud laughing.. It happened to many.

That's definitely a hard one to think about! I'm sure whether I talk in my sleep or not! The problem is I sleep alone so if I'm ranting and raving in the night then I'm unaware of that. I suppose a good thing to do would be to record myself by placing a dictation machine by my bedside and come morning I would either be shocked or entertained if there was anything on the machine. I think I would much rather not know whether I was talking during my sleep though as I wouldn't want to discover any weird revelations! Andrew

My second son is doing this most in his sleeps. When i answer him,he again answers back (looks funny really) And when he wakes up,we tell him about his dreams and what he is saying,he can never remember a word.

It happens to me all the time. I talk while i'm asleep and at times even walk in my sleep. Its quite normal to talk in one's sleep but it can be dangerous walking in one's sleep. Its something that cannot be corrected and at times it does make people around us laugh at that moment. Even my brother does talk in his sleep. He has often told me of how much I speak in my sleep, but the best part is that most of the time we do not realise it unless someone wakes us up at that moment. It kinds of makes me smile now..

When I was younger I have one documented time I slept walked. It was sureal. I can recall the dream I was in like it was yesterday. I was so confused , so disoriented when I was awaken. that the next day I looked for proof that it wasnt a dream, Ihave not slept walked in 25 + years but I do talk in my sleep. and that disturbs me

I actually do talk, while sleeping. I was not aware of doing it, until my husband mentioned it to me, although at that time, we were only engaged. At one point, he couldn't see that I was sleeping as the lights were off at night, came into our room, I said something, and he continued the conversation. He only realized that I was sleeping was when I said something that made no sense.

It has been alleged that I have done this before. I'll take the people who told me at face value. Of course, as far as they have told me, I have said nothing rather incriminating. Which is really the best that you could hope for. When a lot of people sleep talk, they do tend to say a lot of things that they really should not be saying out loud. Therefore they are going to get themselves in trouble. Still at least I have really not said anything that is getting me in all that much trouble. Then again, I could be lucky enough to be saying the really bad stuff when no one is around. Talking in your sleep is very common. If we have a troubled night, it is something that might happen. Of course, given that our thoughts when we are sleeping is very much stream of consciousness, it is something that might not make a lot of sense. A lot of the times where I have talked, it did seem to be a lot of utter randomness, or again, so it has been alleged. It is just one of those things where it really does depend on the situation for sure, and often times, the situation really does not make all that much sense.

i have seen my brother talking while sleeping.I remember when we used to sleep together in childhood he used to talk very loudly & it was shocking when i used to tell him in the morning about it he used to see me as if i was telling a lie. Then i saw my roommate doing this when i was in college this was shocking & i got affraid when first time i heard him shouting while sleeping but then i got habitual to it.It is a sort of disorder but nothing you can do it to stop him/her.
