Connect and disconnect to a new service

I think it is so unfair, that when you need to connect to a new service, like insurance or TV cable you get help in seconds and 5 minuets later they charge you credit card.
But when you wanna end or disconnect from it, they will drink all of your blood before they will let you go, and you will have to wait hours on phone and they will send you from agent to agent...
Did you had this feeling and wanna share with us?

It's all in the approach: never phone, always write. Send them a letter with a closing date and tell them that, if they try to take money after that date, you will consider it theft. Cancel their direct debit facility with your bank. If you're paying via a card you won't be able to do that but you *can* tell them not to take any more and attack them if they do. Assuming you're actually outside their fixed contract period, of course.
All contracts are a TWO-way street. You have rights, too. Just be blunt and refuse to play by their rules.

Exactly the same thing. "I don't want this service any more. Please cancel it by xx. Please be ware that, after that date, I will not pay for the service and any continuation of that service will be at your own expense."
You can still be nice in the rest of the letter. Just be REALLY clear that you ain't payin' for somethin' ye don't want!

yes, I know what you mean friend, it's because when you are subscribing you are giving or will be giving them money so they are in a hurry plus the good service. When you want to disconnect, it is a stop to what they earn from you so they delay it as much as they can, they give you the run around, beat around the bush or you have to personally go to their office and things like that
, it's still all about business and money friend, the world seems to revolve around making money, sigh

I agree and i know that this is the main company point, but i think the government should do something against it, cause they really abuse you..

I have noticed this too. When you want to buy a service from them, it goes really quick. When you have a problem or want to end service with them, it takes forever and they credit you much later.

This is really true with companies that offered their services.
They are so accommodating and the service is too fast when we inquire and acquire their services.
But once we want to stopped their service they ignored and will keep us waiting.
They even offer some other services,or promo just to keep us stay.

Yes, that's the same cycle every one of us tend to face when subscribing and unsubscribing from any services. Those big companies are usually eager to earn our money but take their own sweet time to pay us back. It's even worse for airlines. Once booked, there's no way we can cancel or get a full refund as soon as possible. However, delays and flight cancellation are always common, and they seem to be right in doing so. I really hate that.
