So here's the sad part: I messed up real good. I just lost my phone today. And silly me depending on technology, did not memorize any of my contact numbers in it. Yep even my mom's. So I go back to my room sweating and panicking and a glimmer of hope presents itself. My old phone, already gathering cobwebs inside one of my drawers, still had its sim card. Since my friends and family almost always don't change numbers regularly, I might be able to text or call someone to ask for my mother's number. The problem? Keypad is not working because of a torn flex cable. No means to turn it on. Easy right? Buy flex cable from Ebay, amazon or wherever it is that sell parts dirt cheap. If I ever doubted unlucky streaks, now is the right time to start believing them. No such parts. I did find one site but it was selling for 48 euros. In my current financial capacity, that is the equivalent FOREX of a gazillion bucks. ( Don't roll your eyes, desperation tend to draw the drama out). So three questions: Anyone got a sharp 703sh/sx313 already heading for the trash bin? Online shops selling used phones for parts? Am I right in saying that online shopping sucks when you need it the most? A few hours from now I'll be surely laughing at my unmistakable desperation. But for now I could bash my head for losing my phone.

I don't have a cell phone. I have all my numbers in my contacts on Yahoo and in a address book. THINK HARD and SOFT! Yep. WOrks for me. Yes, desperation DOES tend to draw the drama out. So don't be so desperate. Laughing is the best medicine. So, how did you lose your phone? Did you ever get ahold of your Mom?

Sleep deprived and all I can't still laugh about it. I used up the whole morning playing detective. I did find the driver but no phone. So sad. Now I got to sleep.

That sucks! I'm so glad I have my mom's cell number memorized... lol But the only phone numbers I know by memory are mine, my mom's, and the home phone. I don't even know my sister's number by heart! Modern technology's really made us into slackers... hasn't it? I think that online shopping sucks when you're looking for something really specific on short notice. I prefer shopping in-store where I can meet people who can help me and it's usually cheaper too when you take the cost of shipping into account. I think you're just going to have to get a new phone and gather numbers one by one again.

Yep I'm now officially a tech-slave. Sucks! There are no stores here for my phone model. Somebody gifted me with a Japanese phone.

Sorry to hear you lost your phone and do I know this feeling. Yes it seems like when you need something as you do, seems like nothing and no one can help. It is like adding insult to injury at the time as one can't concentrate well either while trying to think what happened to the phone. I hope you can find one soon.
