Well I am happy to announce that I have now lost a total of 70 lbs, thanks to mylotters advise and help from my doctor I have surpassed my first plateau phase. The doctor told me that I will probably encounter a few more before I get to my desired weight, but just be patient and continue doing what I am doing and I should be fine. I was so excited this morning when I jumped on the scale and saw I had lost more weight. I have another 40 lbs to go and I am positive I will make it!!!!

Good on you! I envy people who have that kind of determination to stick to a goal, and reach it. I myself would start on setting my own weight goals soon enough. I hope the next 40 goes by so fast! Goodluck!

Hopefully, this coming long weekend wouldn't derail you from your last 40-lb journey. Again, goodluck. And enjoy the fireworks!

Thank you so much!!! I personally didn't think I was going to have that type of determination myself, so it does kind of feel great knowing that I have achieved this much. And I also hope the next 40 lbs will go by fast and smoothly.

Well done on reaching that goal. I'm sure you will reach the next one as well! When you reach a plateau, I guess the thing to do is just take it easy for a few days and don't give up. Keep up the good work!!!

Sometimes that is all that you can do. Just don't ever give up. Reminds me of a poster I saw with a frog holding a bird's mouth open while the bird was trying to eat it and it had those words under it: Don't every give up!!!

Thank you!!! Let me tell you it definitely gets a bit fraustrating though, knowing that you are doing everything right and you lose nothing. But like you said you just have to be patient and change things up a bit. My husband just this week was in the same situation as myself, he was stuck in the weight and wouldn't move. I just told him to take it easy, don't get fraustrated and that he will lose.

Honestly I do have pictures, but I don't think I can upload them and if I could honestly I wouldn't know where to begin. It is a bit of a struggle trying to lose weight and then keep it off, but it's all well worth it, wouldn't you agree!!!

I am currently on a doctor's order diet. I am allowed three small meals a day, veggies, chicken and/or fish, avoid red meat, fruits, salad, no carbs or very minimal, no sweets/surgar. I do however try to excercise at least 3 to 4 times a week, but with my schedule it is sometimes impossible. Thank you for you inspiring words, I am hoping that I make it to my desired weight, it will take some time, but I am pretty sure that I will be successful.

Definitely, I am currently in a special diet which my doctor put me in, so I am positive I am getting all the proper nutritions. Eating 3 times a day, with snacks in between very important...

Good for you that you are doing it the proper way. I´m afraid that some people start those diets from magazines and end up in a poor shape. Have a lovely day!

Thank you!!! And congratulations to you as well. I was in the plateau stage and I am pretty sure I will get to that stage again, before I get to my desired weight, but we have to stay with a positive mind and maintain motivated so that we can definitely reach our desired goals. I am currently on a doctor's order diet, minimal carbs, no sweets/sugar, mostly chicken and fish, staying away from red meats I can only have it maybe once a week, veggies and fruits. I wish you the best of luck!!!

You better believe I feel great, I haven't felt this way in a few years. I am actually enjoying shopping for new cloths. I actually went this weekend through my closet and throughout so much cloths and found so much clothes that I haven't been able to fit in in a while. So yes thank you, excitment is definitely in my vocabulary.

Congratulations on your achievement. Yes, you can still lose those unwanted pounds, if you really are determined, and i know you are. Your losing of 70 lbs. reminds me of what my husband and i keep watching every week nights - Biggest Loser - Pinoy Edition. My husband and i are of medium built, but we are so fascinated of how those very big participants are able to lose at least 6 pounds a week. What we can only say is that, it is really just determination that can make one achieve it.

I used to watch that myself and my husband and I said that one day, we would lose those unwanted lbs as well. I guess that day finally came for the both of us. Because my hubby as lost a total of 60lbs. What helps us the most, is that we motivate each other and we are always watching what both of us eat and what we can't eat. In other words, we keep each other on check. Having the support of your loved ones really helps a lot. I am also positive I will lose the lbs I need, thank you so much for the motivation.
