July 1, 2011. Its been a long time since I started a discussion and stine1_reloaded prompted me so here goes. Which Super hero movie are you looking forward to? Do you think its silly to root for the Super hero, do you know any "Super hero" type of people?

I don't know if I know any super hero type people but I saw some interesting previews for the new Captain America movie. I also wanted to see the new Xmen...I don't know if that one qualifies though.

funny that you should mention this... just finished reading an article in yahoo that superhero movies are doing as well as expected in the box office. they specifically cited as examples 'xmen: first class', 'green lantern', and 'thor'. now, i'm a big super hero type of guy. i remember watching all these great super hero cartoons when i was younger and the same excitement is there when i hear about movies being made for these cartoons. i must confess that green lantern is up there as one of my personal favorites but i really can't say that i liked the movie version. something was just off. right now, i'm just looking forward to the third iron man movie and the new spider man movie (toby mcguire isn't playign spider man anymore) as well as the captain america movie. of course, what i'm looking forward to is the avengers movie which according to reports will be shown in 2013.

I grew up on Super hero comics as well. Its always nice to read about the struggles of the good guy. I think the Avengers will be pretty cool.

I am a big X-men fan so I need to see the new movie..lol We went to the drive-in Saturday night and saw Transformers 3 and (hides eyes shamefully) Green Lantern and I didn't see and of it I slept all the way through it . I know I know I need a kick in my pants . My hubby wasn't looking to forward to it at all he isn't a Ryan Reynolds fan(I am) and he said Ryan was great and the movie was pretty good (wish I would have been awake). Oh and My Super Hero was Grandma Mattie.. I miss her so much

LOL, it is a hopeless dream, I know, but I would really like to see DangerMouse movie. He is my all-time favorite superhero. I like his little sidekick Penfold, too.

Whoa! DangerMouse!! I haven't heard that name in a long, long time. Well, you should contact a Hollywood studio and have them add it to the list of Super hero type movies.

haha, finally i get to see u start new post again!! ^^ I'm not really into superhero movies. Are X-men one of those?? haha =D I used to watch them all when i'm young or in my teens. BUt now, i don't feel the same way, especially superman. SOmehow, those movies had lost their appeal to me. As for X-men, it seems more realistic, and that's what attracts me. However, i'm not able to enjoy them all.. haha

Yes, yes and yes. The super hero I am looking forward to is the third Iron Man movie. I like Downey and it is pretty good action. I also look forward to seeing the Transformer movie too. My grandson always like Spiderman. Is there anyother of those coming out? Not sure since i am an older lady and don't keep up on such things. I know of one super hero type person. My daughter. She is the strongest person, both physically and emotiionally, that I know.

I like the Iron Man movies too. Spiderman has a movie coming out in 2012. I'm sure your daughter is awesome, what a nice way to shout out her superness.

I was always a comic book fanatic as a young person, so I really love the super hero movies. As for real-life super heroes...I think they are firemen and the military.

Yes, the people who defend without a cape or mask do without looking for recognition.

It's nice to hear from you again....you must really be enjoying Hawaii!! I don't root for super hero's.....and I don't think it's silly to root for them if that what you like to do.....the only super hero there was ever in my life was my dad....he was my hero...and a super man!

I am not really fond of fantasy movies so movies that feature a Super Hero do not really appeal to me. I've always loved movies that show realities of life. So this is the reason why I have no favorite Super Hero at all. I think it is just for kids.

I don't watch very many superhero type movies. I think that the last one that I watched was "The Dark Knight." I think that the closest I generally come to "superhero" type stuff usually is anime. It's not silly to root for a superhero. I'm just more of a "vampires and werewolves" sort, and those often lean more toward antiheroes.

I'm looking forward to see Justice League the movie. It must be awesome to see Superman (Dean Cain or Tom Welling), Wonderwoman (maybe Megan Fox), The Flash (maybe Justin Timberlake?) and Green Lantern ( Ryan Reynold) in one movie. It will be a perfect combination of hollyword actors/actress playing their roles in superhero movie.
