Star rating

July 6, 2011 4:56pm CST
I have notice that quite a few members have a star rating with varying numbers in them? Is this gained over time or as people rate your posts? I understand that quality is the name of the game on this website, so by clicking the + or - I rate other people? and this affects their earnings?

Everyone with a user rating (the number beside your username) over 100 has a star. You will get yours too when you reach 100. Yes it affects earnings. Until you reach 100 you cannot rate others but they can rate you (if they have more than 100). You can practice using it before then but when you rate it won't stick, as you can see if you refresh the page. MyLot explain how to use the ratings here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx#1

what do you mean buy two rounds? Is that when you post something and then comment on your posts?

Hello marxistmind, Star is nothing but the reflection of your reputation on MYLOT. It will appear against your name once you past 100 responses. It actually gets calculated by the number of ratings you get from other users on your responses. It varies from 1~10.10 is the highest rank & 1 is the lowest rank. So all you can do is to write quality response to get more + ratings from others & to get 10 - BLUE STAR as you past 100 responses.Best of luck.Enjoy MYLOT.
