what is meaning of posting in mylot?

Welcome to myLot
myLot is a discussion site and posting really should not be referred to. Reason why I say try and not refer it to posting it is because myLot requires we concentrate on quality.
Not quite clear on your question, but if you are referring to your own discussions and I just answered, I am a responder placing a quality response, therefore, I typed I earn.
When you come back and comment back to me and all the responders with quality comments then you typed, you earn.
Come back to this discussion and perhaps we can discuss further?

Posting can be to do all of those things. That is how we earn money and make friends here. This is a great site and I would recommend that to get the most out of this site, you should do all of those. I try to reply to discussions each day as well as starting my own discussions and replying back to those who answer my discussions.

When some one respond to your discussion and you comment on that they are not considered in the rating of your as your number won't increase which you can see in brackets against your name.
Once you have respond to the disussion and again you respond to the comment made by another user then it won't be considered as your response is considered only once in a discussion.
But from earning point of view in both the cases your response is considered.

From one hardworker to another. lol (I just have to say that), on a serious note, the best way to do so is to have furthering (posting) of discussions. By commenting back (posting) to the members responders to their discussions.
It is a nice way to get to know a great deal of members here as one learns and bonds with many, through the participations (posting).

srobys here in my lot, and welcome by theway, posting means typing responses to other people's discussions. typing comments to the responses other made on your discussion and typing up your own discussions. Posting is simply typing wherever you wish to post something and also you can post photographs not copyrighted but your own to your discussions

Posting means some text you have to enter and submit it to the mylot website. That text is should be related to that particular discussion. Giving response to a discussion, starting a discussion, and make a comment these all come under postings.
As a newbie, doubts are coming one by one, you can ask them. And experience can give so many solutions.
