I am trying to find a bedspread I bought from Sears back in 1978. There has to be a way of finding a picture of this spread on the internet. I don't care what I type in I get nothing useful. Shouldn't there be a website or something for vintage bedding from Sears? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you tried contacting Sears directly? Maybe by email or something, this may be complicated by the fact that K-Mart bought them some time back. I don't remember if they still had the big catalog then or if they had done away with it. If they still had it, a long shot my be a library, many can be checked online without actually going there. No matter what you try, you probably are going to need some kind of specific description about the design or something in order to have a chance. Good luck.

Thanks for responding. I forgot about that...that K-Mart bought them out. Hmm, I think I'll try the library first. We no longer have a Sears around here. They closed our store. I wish I could remember the name of the thing. It was white with light pastel brush strokes of pink, blue, yellow, and green, even some lavender. I wish I could find another one. Again, thanks for responding. I'm going to try the online library now.

Another Way would be maybe looking on Ebay and lookin under Sears Vintage Blanket. A lot of people on there sell Vintage you may have a chance to find it. I understand about finding things you loved and lookin everywhere to find them. Reminds me of this one time I fell in love with a song and I would keep hunting for it till finally I found the name title the whole works! The best feeling ever! So don't give up on your search it will happen :)

Maybe you have packed it away in a box and labelled it up incorrectly? I remember last time I moved house I had stuff all over the place and I am still looking for many things I thought I had (or maybe I didn't?). If you bought it in 1978 I would suggest it is probably due for replacement, unless you packed it away in 1979 and haven't used it since. Then it may still be OK, if the moths haven't gotten to it first.
