Our first ladies

In the USA the wife of our President is referred to as our First Lady. We have been so lucky to have the influence of these wonderful women, each has been special in their own right. But one that has had the most influence in our country is Betty Ford, wife of President Ford. With her willingness to openly expose the challenges in her life, cancer and addiction she has changed the way these problems are thought about and handled in our country. We praise her life and mourn her death.
For a life well lead I thank you.

She did a lot of good for a lot of people and was able to do so because she knew first hand what they are going through. I've admired her a lot and she's helped so many people. May she be at peace in heaven.

In my opinion it takes very brave people to expose themselves to the public eye and act as our leaders.No less so for the spouses of our leaders. She did well in her role and will be missed.

What I am wondering is this; When we get a woman as President, will her husband be called First Husband or something else?

"Behind every great man" they say. I think that First Ladies have influenced politics considerably and often for the better. Cleverly, the women get the influence without the responsibility. Now that's smart thinking! Betty Ford was one of the better ones and certainly more effective than her husband ever was.

Here in India our president is a women Mrs. Pratibha Patil, She is our first lady.
I have well known about Michelle obama. She is a very good educationalist. she has social responsibility and helping nature. And especially she have no ego that as a president wife.
