i do, but that is not to say i don't do it sometimes out of frustration, for example at my job which i hate. i have met alot of people who claim to be Christians but then turn around and curse up a storm the first chance they get. i just think that screams "i'm not trying to be better!"...what do you think?

I have been much more hurt by other words than I have by curse words. Words are just words. It's how you use them that matters. If you are using them to release frustration, to me, that sounds like a good thing, depending on the circumstance. Also, depending how loud, in the presence of children, etc. Curse words are stored in a certain way in the brain in such a way that saying them can actually act as a pain reliever. Why did you specifically ask, "...when you are a Christian."? Many other people also consider cursing to be a negative thing. Do you expect more from Christians than you do other people? And if so, why? Also, why did you say, "I just think that screams "I'm not trying to be better!""? Better than themselves or better than who or what? If something does not cause harm to others, then I do not believe it is wrong. No, I do not think it is wrong to curse when you are Christian or any other person.

Okay, so why exactly do you think that cursing is wrong? Does it say it in the Bible because I don't remember it?

well i specifically asked about Christians because i am a Christian. i just wanted to know what other Christians thought about cursing because i have always felt like it is wrong to curse, even if you are releasing frustration

also, i'm not trying to say Christians are any better than other people. i just feel like they should try to be examples for the rest of the world to follow by following Jesus that's all. i am saying they should try to better themselves.

I consider myself a Christian but I do occasionally swear, if I am angry or someone else is swearing sometimes I just slip and say a bad word. I do not ever however use the lords name in vane. The few times in my life I had I said a prayer apologizing right away. I don't swear a lot but once in a while something slips out and I usually feel bad about it.

good. somebody shares my view. i mean nobody is perfect. just because you curse a few times doesn't mean you don't feel bad about it

Personally I feel that if we are a Christian and trying to act like one, this means we are supposed to act Christlike which means acting out of concern and even when we get stressed we should not cuss. I know a lot of people have been known to do so when under stress even if they feel it is wrong. What I hate is the people who claim to be a Christian and the next minute they are caught cursing. Makes you really question their Christianity.

exactly. i totally agree. people should not even really have to ask if a person is religious. it should be obvious in the way we ack and speak

Maintain your manners at all time, don't push yourself too hard or put yourself down, sometimes people will make u but use less profane by relateable words like when i get angry i say "foo" "poo" or something of that order, foo as in "chinese foo dog" it keeps the humor and takes away the discusting language

well for one i don't think the bible defines cursing except using God's name in vain. Society has decided what is acceptable language and what is cursing. Over the years words that were once considered cursing is now acceptable. So in my own opinion no i do not believe it is wrong. It all depends on what you and the people you are around deem acceptable. Just try not to offend anyone with your language and i think you'll be fine.
