McDonald is the most largest and most profitable fast food chain world wide in the field of food industry. Every corner of the world surely you can find McDonalds. They really dominates the taste of the people. No wonder they got the attention of kids from all ages and even adults too. McDonalds indeed became an inspiration and pioneer to other similar fast foods. Its not a doubt that McDo nalds became an influence specially to the children from toys, jingles, tv adds and more. But did McDonalds portray a good influence to everybody? I used to saw this movie or should I say documentation and on that film they do some survey or experiment on kids. The guy on the movie prepared picture cards namely wendy ,jesus christ and ronald mcdonald. They gather 10 kids ages from 7-8 yrs old. What they did, they ask every kids if they know who's on the picture and what they do. Heres the result: 10/10 kids- know ronald mcdonalds without doubts 3/10 kids- know wendy 1/10 kids- only know jesus christ When the kids ask on who ronald mcdonald and what he do, the kids answer food, singing, dancing and toys. And the only kid who knew jesus was ask on what he do or who was he, the kid answer I dont know, I only knew its jesus. It's actually scary but its the reality. And if we continue this our ethical manner would be just another history.

and 0/10 kids ... knows Jollibee why McDonalds win versus Jesus??? it's because.... when you do good = no one remembers... but when you do bad = no one forgets.... now.... a selection: children's fast food versus prayers??? since children loves to play, eat and not so serious in life.... if adults... therefore adults may choose prayers instead of children's food for temporary satisfaction of stomach.... as prayers for a lifetime commitment.....

Wow i i will say even when you do good people dont value it as they do when you do evil. So what does it mean? people value evil more than good? True look at how the reputation of a politician gets depleted when he does evil and how he takes time to build his name. One may try to build his name for a long time but i have come to learn that you will only takes seconds to have it destroyed. Children will only value what is physical but not more the spiritual because the mind is young. But dont you see it would be different for adults?

It is really shocking bout the figures. I think parents and teachers should now take some initiative to teach kids with some spiritualism.

I don't think this is what they ought even to do more. Faith comes through hearing and hearing the word of God. To be able to change the situation i think they should make the children to hear Jesus the more and even more than they hear this guy who makes food for them.

That's going to be the case, i guess if their families are not religious. besides i am sure that most schools where you reside is not a catholic or christian school. the sample size or where this survey was taken could also be a factor. =) In the Philippines, if you do this - you should ask the children who Jollibee is Vs who mcdonald's is. =P Now i am curious if kids here know mcdonalds, i bet they know more about the bee. heheh But i definitely think they know Jesus too. =)

Well technically, the typical pictures we see of Jesus Christ could not possibly be accurate. Clearly if he was born in Bethlehem, like the Bible says, then he wouldn't be Caucasian. So I don't know how big of a deal it really is even if Christian children don't know what the stereotypical picture of him is supposed to look like. Also, television commercials are a great portion of what we see when we watch television and the majority of commercials are about various products for obvious reasons. So children are much more likely to see Ronald or Wendy when they are watching tv than Jesus. Furthermore, there are many Christians in the world, but I am willing to wager that there are much more fast-food consumers out there. There are other religions out there and there is not much reason for a child to know what gods of other religions look like. Why should a Buddhist child know what Jesus is supposed to look like? Now if all the children in this study were Christian, then that could be an issue, though still a small one. I'm quite sure that that picture itself has nothing to do with being able to follow the ten commandments and such. While I do agree that consumerism is a big and growing problem in our society, I do not believe that the ability to recognize the picture of one particular god has anything to do with ethics whatsoever. One does not need to be a member of any particular religion, or one at all, to be ethical.

I won't be surprise anymore my friend, because the devil is doing everything it can to confuse and make known to people what is wrong (Gal. 1:7). In Ephesians 5:15-16 it says "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 2Cor. 4:4 tells us that "The god of this age (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. That is why it is important to obey what is written in the scriptures. 1 Cor. 2:12 says" Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. We should teach and mold our children in the way God is to be glorified.

Good thing brother. For this is the scripture written in the book of Romans 1 from the first verse. I am sure the real thing is what Paul in this book talks about in verse 21 when he says "though they knew God they did not acknowledge him as God and so he gave them to shameful lusts of the flesh. Even in the book of 2thessalonnians he says that God has given them a strong delusion to love what is wicked and hate what is right. I think its part of the delusion of God even to the children. Let us understand or is it not written that the spirit of the son of lawlessness is in operation? and don't we see lawlessness in place now even when children refused to be disciplined by their parents because there is a law to defend them. Am sure this what our friend here is trying to alert us is that the antichrist is about to be revealed. We don't know the country he shall come from but his sign is revealed as he comes. Let children eat but teach them the way they ought to grow and while they are old they will never forsake it. If we teach them to eat always they will always eat and will only seek to fill their stomachs. Am saying Christ is far much greater than men. If we could know how big he is we can never compare him with men Imagine he is immortal and he is glorious and then great such that while he is seated in heaven his feet rest on earth so from earth to heaven is like from his toe to his knee or have you ever thought this? for it is written " heaven is my home and the earth is my footstool...."

I wish you could know this that the guys you are talking about are only men and deal with food. The only thing which Jesus doesn't do. At the age of a child one will only think of daddy mom and food nothing else but for Jesus he says Man does not live by bread alone but by the word that comes from the mouth of God. Again he says that his kingdom is not a business of eating and drinking as theirs is so i think you are comparing him with the wrong group though you class him last he is greater than all. Or have i diverted your attention?
