A couple of people told me that it is possible to send a whole movie via email, like gmail or yahoo mail. When I thought about, I would say really? Is that possible at all? So, without certainty, I would like to ask some geeks here, if you have any idea or if you know a trick or two to do so. Let's say if you have a movie around 700 - 800 MB in size, do you need to compress it before attach to your email, or there is another way? Please teach me if you know how.

It is not possible to send a movie through email. the other option is to post in websites which allow u to post movies so that ur friend can see it. the other option is to use www.teamviewer.com. Both of you should hae an id. then your friend can access your computer through teamviewer and watch the movie. I am not sure whether he can save it in his computer. try.

You can use it to transfer files, but it's kinda sluggish.

hi, for me, i think it can not be, we cant send a whole movie that usually 700MB size that couldn't attach to the email, its not really possible unless there is an application or an email that can attach a movie which the size is 700MB above.

I don't think this is possible.Even if is possible,it would take a long time for you to upload the entire movie as an attachment. And,when you try to compress it,it won't be that much helpful. Why don't you try this? There are many sites all over the internet that allow you to download movies for free.Just search for the one you're looking for and send him the download link.Hope this helps.Cheers,..

The maximum attachment size is around 25 MB, if you use HJSplit to divide the file, you would have to send at least 32 messages with the attachment for a part of the whole movie if its around 800 MB. If your friend doesn't mind the number of files and messages, then this is possible. Once your friend recieves and downloads the parts, he can join it again using HJSplit and play the movie.

you can do it by using winRAR.. compress the movie and also make parts of 20 MB each.. yeah you need to send 30-40 emails to send movie but you can do it.. other ways are you use VNC or Teamviewer to connect your system with the other and transfer.. or upload to any free webspace like live space or rapidshare or megaupload and send URL to your friend.. mail is better option you can send as many time as you want.. :-)

I hope someone here was able to answer your question. I honestly have no idea about it at all. I have never tried to do something like that.

Usually a movie is about 400-700MB. So if there is such an email which can send a large attachment. Then it will be fine to send a movie. However, I wonder whether it will be slow for others to download it. Besides, you can not continue to download it once it is stopped suddenly. So it is better to upload it to the online storage so that it will be easier for you to upload another others to download it. I love China

I'm not so savvy about this sending via email thing with such big attachment especially movies.I've seen some file sharing sites like fileserve. You can look up on them if you really want to share your movie to your friend. It's worth trying, I hope this helps.

A full length movie is kinda impossible to be sent via email, simply because the email's attachments' size is always limited. Not to mention that it would be illegal to send a movie to someone who doesn't own an original copy of the film.. so in case he has a copy of the film, why would you bother sending him a movie that he already has? :P

well i was thinking of that too... why take a risk of downloading movies from risky sites and it takes a lot of time...so why not discover a new software for sending movies through email...

I heard it was possible but have never been able to. I shrink them to about 500 mb or so and send through sendthisfile. u set an account up with them and it is free for the basic. I have had it take up to 20 hours to send though because you do not get priority of bandwidth if you are not a pro client or whatever ya call it
