My mom gave me this very nice looking box of chocolate today. It says LINDT BATONS WILLIAMS WILLIAMSSTENGELI. I was thrilled because it looks expensive and yummy plus I am really a CHOCOholic. So I opened the box hastily to get the first bite. But when I got the first bite I was kinda disappointed because I tasted more pear brandy rather than chocolate. I am not really into drinking alcohol so I wasn't able to appreciate it. My throat felt burned and then it felt hoarse afterwards. I don't know if I could consume the whole box. How about you guys, what do you think about chocolates with brandy? If you don't like it too, tell me why. If you like it tell me why, I promise I will respect your opinion and maybe I would also learn to appreciate this chocolate..

Hi, flapiz. I have never ate chocolate candy with brandy inside of it. This must have tasted awful when you ate it, I am sure! I have heard of LINDT chocolates before though. I love chocolates, but not any with brandy in it. That was very nice of your mother to give you a box of chocolates, but I am sure that you would have liked the chocolates much better if it did not have any brandy inside of it though.

Hi cream. Wow so you're a CHOCOholic too. Indeed it would have been better if it has no brandy. A cheap chocolate would have tasted better. But it was the thought that counts.

I try to avoid chocolate, as its too nice, but this conversation is making me hungry. I think chocolate liquers are an acquired taste, there are some pleasures that come with age, and that is one of them. I think we can strong tasting food more as we get older, which is why children hate sprouts and a lot of adults like them. but keep them for twenty years and I am sure you will enjoy them. or better still pass them on to a friend.

Hello Francesca. Chocolates are indeed mouth watering. hehe.. I think you are right. Maybe it is an acquired taste because I received a lot of the same feedback. Well rather than keeping them, I just gave them to my friends and well though we had the same reaction about it. I still made them happy in a way that it was the first time they ate that kind of chocolate.

Exactly! The smell itself is a turn off. Yeah my mom thought I will love it. But according to her it was also just given to her by a client. So I think I will let my friends who love alco to have it.

Hehehe.. Well it has brandy in the center. It's not also available in our country, but some foreigner client gave it to my mom and in turn she gave it to me. Maybe someday you'll get to taste one and critic it too.. hehe..

I like to try that. I'm a chocoholic too and I haven't tried it with brandy yet so I like to try it. I would just want to try as many food or drinks as I can.

Well that's a good attitude you have. That's what I'm doing too. I eat and try anything new I see. In that way we will learn what's good and what's not and we can prevent from making mistakes of buying them in the future.Trying out food and drinks will make you more knowledgeable with the dining subject and you can use that when entertaining guests or preparing for your family or just yourself.
