There are so many individuals that go through very different situations with similar reactions and interactions due to normality and certain things, is it okay to use personal experience to help others

One of the things i like about mylot is you can punch in any problem and get some really good applicable advices. Another is you can type up any problem and the way you handled it and others can gain from your experience!! Saves them from having to go through all the anxiety and anguish!! Whats more is you can do it without having to worry someone will create problems for you in real life!! The anonymity aspect!!! Apparently the virtual world is the only world remaining where you can get sound advice and insight from others!!!

Yes,I think writing about personal problems and the way we managed to solve can be of real help for others who can learn from our life experience and mistakes.I don't see anything wrong in doing that as long as we don't break promises made to people who are close to us that we won't reveal their secrets.

I agree with you polaris77.. I usually write ALOT of my thoughts down, and depending on how I feel- I throw it, rip it, or whatever..but once its out- its like my visible opponent..lol

Yeah that seems awesome, the problem is some of those thoughts about people shouldn't be thought in the first place because negative thoughts reflect on ourselves too. If we think of something mean about someone else, what do we really think about ourselves.

I really don't think it is wrong. I know you should not tell every single detail though because some of it is better left unsaid and kept to yourself.

Somethings are better left kept to yourself, but if something is physically wrong and you can't get past it. It's good to write it out and it helps others.

I don't think it can ever be wrong to try to help others. Everyone has something to learn from other people's experiences. Sharing these may actually be a better way to help than giving direct advice, which is often ignored. That being said, I believe most writers write to help themselves, not others, but good writing is such a wonderful thing that total strangers can easily identify with the experiences it conveys.

Of course it is ok. That is what I was trying to do when I (attempted to) write my autobiography in the form of a novel. I wanted everybody to know the pain and tension I experienced in my early life so they could understand what caused me to become what I am.

Writing about our own personal experience is most likely the only way we can help others avoid the same mistakes. If we can just help one person it's worth the effort.

It also makes others see their own mistakes as well or remember something funny
