Yeah I think they need to be thrown out for sure. I was goign to get a cherry tomato and I saw the cucumber, so I put the tomato back and decided to get on ehre and ask people what is going on with this cucumber? I've never seen anything happen like this before. It's rot I guess as the white spot is soft and big too, so yeah, definitely not eating anything from that bag.
So You Veggie Connoseiurs, what's going on with my cucumber?

Yeah, so I just threw it out, it was only here for about a week, but they were garden fresh so I assumed they would have lasted longer. Oh well, too bad.

It might be starting to decay. That is usually the discoloration. I do love cherry tomatoes. It just went ahead an ripened and turned white. Pigment problem. I think you could cut the white out and then eat the rest of it. I have done that before when I needed some more for a salad.

Yeah, well it was a big spot and soft on the cucumber, so I just threw it out. I didn't want to risk eating it though I've cut bad spots away from other items in the past. Had we any vinegar I would have eaten the cucumbers earlier as I love vinegar and cucumbers!

Yes, my daughter loves cucumbers and vinegar. I think it was just a bad spot. Too bad it was so big.

I guess tht's what makes the most sense. They were garden fresh as they came from a relatives garden.

It has always been my experience that when I keep veggies and or fruits in plastic baggies that it is to hot for them and they begin to rot, and or get moldy. Especially if not refrigerated as the plastic gets hot and spoils them quicker.
