I dont know about you guys but I am sick and tired of being turned down for job after job. I have a bachelors degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology and I cannot seem to find a job to save my life. I am so disappointed because when you walk into the offices of children and families they may believe that you are uneducated and seeking government assistance and want to talk to you in a different manner not knowing that most people are seeking government assistance not because they lack education but because of the economy at this point and time. What I cannot come to terms with is that some of the jobs that I have actually applied for and not get only requested tha you have a high school diploma, so imagine the shocker when I am denied the job, sometimes I wonder what it is that they are looking for. Have I wasted ny time and money in school.I have become very frustrated especially after being turned down from jobs that I am over qualified for it really takes a toll after a while.

It is pretty frustrating to say the least and oh boy do I know the feeling. I have a masters in Business Administration and many years of experience too. The company I devoted many years to does not exist so I had to start over and for over a year have the exact issue as you. Mostly all say I am way too over qualified and will not give me a chance to explain that I can be an asset to them. It is very discouraging and there are days I do want to give up, but we can't. We can't retire yet therefore, we have to continue trying at all cost to land a job one day. Good luck to you and know that I know exactly how you feel.

It is rediculous isn't it. I was trying to get on at a fast food restaurant afew blocks away from me for a second job and I couldn't get it. Why? Because I had over twenty years(at that time) in a completely different area. They all want people with experience in the very job and nothing less or more.
