It's hard to earn and budget money these days.

These are the times where everything hurts when it comes to budgeting. 8 days from now, I'll receive my training fee but it seems that I am not looking forard to getting it because all will be spent on paying the bills. but I have to because my everything is important to me: from water bills to electric bills and then my food consumption, too. plus rent. Ugh. It's very frustrating. I even tried betting and bought a lottery ticket last night hoping to win some cash but I know it's just wishful thinking. Oh, well. Life goes on.

I am glad that I have mylot as my part time job from work because I know during my free time at home, I can always visit to mylot and will try to make it up with my earnings. I should try saving soon but all I earn is spent it all paying the bills.

As long as you enjoy your life then all the other things, like the fact that money is such a hard thing to get these days, will just wash away. Being happy doesn't mean having the most money, but knowing you've made a positive difference, or that you've become the best person you can be at that moment. Never regret, just move forward. The money will come to you one day, and you won't have to live paycheck to paycheck, or spend it all on bills. It's just a matter of time before things will pick up, and when they do, money won't have to be something to worry about. Things will work out for you!

Thanks for your kind words, funboy. Very much appreciated. You have a good heart. I hope things will work out for you, too and for everyone here in mylot who's going through a financial crisis.

Yes, and I say this because prices seem to be always going up and changing. What you paid for food last month, you probably won't pay for next month. What you paid for in utilities last month, well... same rules apply. Rent always goes up. It is insane to try and budget money on a fixed income, especially where I come from. I come from the state of California and I have to adjust how much I spend on food and gasoline every single week. It's not easy.

Gasoline here has becoming expensive and the roll backs here only happens once a month. Everyone is stretching their budget to the fullest plus the car's maintenance as well. And you are right, Rogue. It's never easy. We just have to continue working hard and persevere. Hope everything is well with you.

Oh yeah I hate how as soon as ya get some money it's out the window like that and mostly on bills. I hope you earn a little bit from that lottery ticket. I don't play the lottery, though I did when I had a job. Well, i didn't do it often, and usually just a cheap scratch off ticket. I'm always afraid I'll lose though once I won off of a dollar a friend gave me I got $5.00.

Lucky you, SC. I wish luck is on my side this month so that I could get to feel what it's like to win. Who knows? Tomorrow I might be the lottery winner. Let's see.

There is very little we can control in our lives. But what we can control is our attitude toward it. Instead of spending your energy on frustration over things you cannot control try putting that wonderful mind toward ways to enjoy what you have. You at least have funds to pay your bills so you have water and electric service and food. See if you can conserve and maybe even save enough to give yourself a treat even if it's just a candy or a pretty card you set where you can see it. Break everything to it's smallest parts and see what you can do with that approach. If this doesn't work for you try something else, you are far ahead of those who are living in their cars or who have no cars. Blessings

Hi, Savy. Thank you for your response and to everybody who has placed in their time who have placed their response as well. I have found comfort in your words and felt that I am not alone with what I am going through right now.

I agree that it is very hard to make money at the moment, which is why I have chosen to use the internet to make more cash from now on. I cannot afford to rent a property, so I am living with my parents while I carry on working and save up the funds to buy a property rather than rent. I always think that renting is almost like "empty" money, because you never get anything back from it. At least if you get a house, you own it for yourself rather than just paying to live in a house that belongs to somebody else. I would love to win the lottery and I, too, buy tickets for all of the draws, but it's rather unlikely that we will win which is a bit of a shame really.

Renting your own is really hard if you are living your own and has no one with you to help with the budget. Most of my friends who lives from the province and is just here in the city for work often ask some friends to live with them so that they could all shoulder the budget.

Usually it's the first paycheck that goes the fastest! I can sympathize with you, I know my paychecks go quickly! I would suggest that instead of taking your chances on the lottery, put that money in a savings account! If I have the urge to play the lottery, I think about how much I want to spend, before I buy the ticket, I sit & think about it, eventually if you put little bits of money in a savings account from silly things you think you want to spend money on, it adds up....big time! I have gone on vacations with money that I saved from NOT buying lotto tickets, magazines, coupon savings, etc. Last summer I went on vacation (300 miles one way) and from saving change, I had enough for gas on the way there and the way home! Don't get frustrated from trying to keep within your budget! At least you have one! It's better to be frustrated from trying to stretch your money than having lots of debt collectors constantly calling you!

LOL. I am not really into betting. So rest assured that I am passionate when it comes to everyday betting with lottery. And yes, just like everyone who has a job, the first paycheck sure goes the fastest. And yes, I will never get into a day where in I get a lot of debt collectors calling me because of my over dues. That will be a nightmare.

totallyundecided, I hope that by now, you will be motivated to find more ways of making money (legally) and most of all, be smart. With the living standards and cost of living on the increase, I hope that you will be more discerning with your choice of job to speak out for better terms - most of all, your remuneration. I know that for a fact that interviewees, always cower when asked how much they would want for their pay which is really an unnecessary anticipation. After all, I am sure if the company finds you qualified, then they would definitely want to pay you justifiably. I do agree that it is hard to make ends meet when we are having a low income but let's not forget to manage our expenses and utilities at the end of the day. So, please remind ourselves that we will be paying whatever we use, start thinking twice before we turn that tap or flip the switch. Lastly, I believe you will need to find some avenues to gain residual income for the future where it will not only relieve you of your current needs and have a sound financial future.

totally undecided I am being there right now as I had to make a check out for the one time only fee that came from reconnecting me on the internet when the cable man told me there would be no extra charge.so now i have the lovely sum of six or seven dollars in my bank account and six in my purse and no more money til Aug the 3 if the government sees fit to pay us people on social security I cannot even ask my son for help as he has only a small part time job himself. then too I found out I did not have to pay the cable bill quite so quickly as its due by Aug 4th but I hate having bills hanging over my head. thats one of the reasons I mylot a lot as i need help paying the internet bill.

Yes, Hatley. It's amazing how grateful we are with mylot who gives us this job. I am forever thankful to mylot. And yes, as for the hanging bills, we'll pay them one at a time until we can finish it all. Let's work hard here in mylot so that we can reach our payout soon this 30th.

something that i have talked about recently, the difficulty of having a regular income but receiving less than the amount of money we need to spend for everything we need. after the electric bill, water, internet, house rent, what else? you earn less of what you need. you receive your salary on each payday when everything will be going to pay the bills.

I know life these days are really hard. We do need to work smart and think of ways to save money. I have been into this kind of budgeting for the past year. I really wanted to buy something for myself but I can't since I always buy what was the very first thing needed unlike before that I have extra money on my pocket. My earnings online are not doing great. I am still hoping to get more if it is possible and if I have the time to do so. I wanted to stretch my income to buy something for my soon to come baby. Well wishing the same thing like you, to get lucky .

It's okay, strawberry. You're not the only struggling with your earnings, too. And I know we all feel the pressure because it's almost payout and we need to reach our desired amount so that we could get paid soon. This year has been the most difficult for me to budget since we are trying to finish our house and the bills that I have right now have a little increase on their charge so it;'s really hard. But I know we'll get by. We just have to work hard.

That is true my friend, money's value is getting smaller while the basic commodities are getting more expensive. Cost of utilities we need in our daily lives are also escalating but our earnings are still the same. Even cost of education of our children are also increasing including government schools. With this reality, all of us needs to have another source of income to augment our usual income. That is why some people engage in on-line jobs, and i think we are one of them. If you dont look for other source our salary usually would not be enough. What if we also get sick? Where shall we get money to pay for the medicines and the doctor or the hospital. Well, i consider mylot not an online job because for me it is a venue for friendship, honing our writing skill, and expressing our selves.

Hi, jazz. We do get paid in our job yet our necessities in life is much more expesive than what we earn that's why most of us have online jobs and even small business to keep earn more funds. In a way, for me. Mylot is a great site to earn and at the same time, make new friends because all of us here are helping our friend's discussion.

That's the way life is. Earning to pay bills. That has always been the case. IF we didn't have bills to pay, would we have the motivation to work hard to earn our keep? Even a wanderer has to earn money to keep up with their daily meals. In short, we are earning to pay for our needs. Vacations is one of our needs, bills are part of our needs and what else? Money is needed for a family.

I had problems with budgeting too, but now I'm trying to save myself from the "rat race". If you can't make both ends meet in terms of the money, try living still below your means and start from scratch. Then when you start at that, try saving and investing. It is just about discipline. Also, try looking for extra earning opportunities and higher paying jobs. That's the only way you can work around with that. Try also to learn about financial management and I am sure you will never have that same problem again.

Hi, AG. Don't worry, I don't have a fancy lifestyle and I am living withing my means. It's just that, everything is so expensive nowadays from food to bills and even how you spend for your fare.

You are certainly right. Earning money is really a hard thing to do. That is why it is really important to spend your earnings wisely. But the good thing is that you are earning. If you look at the statistics right now, many people are really unemployed. With respect to the betting, well, you might not know it.. you could be a winner one day. But as you have said, life goes on, we should work and earn to live and survive. Best always!

Yes, having a job right now is, in a way, a relief because I know I am earning and many would want to be in a place right now for I know everyone is in need of money.

It is certainly true that it can be difficult to budget nowadays. It's definitely not an easy task. Everything seems to be getting more expensive, which certainly isn't make things any easier. And it's not helping people being able to budget and such. Budgeting is a frustrating task.

same with my situation since i work only 4 days a week. however, i still find ways to pamper myself. i still go to malls, weekly spa treatments, and eat out. one way that help me is buying coupons online. have you tried group buying? i've purchased a lot to this site and redeemed the vouchers easily with the merchants. the regular price does down as much as 95%! so tried this site http://www.ensogo.com.ph/cebu/invitation/?s=2a90d01b68b2e4f469d560d586a831e8

I agree with the other myLotters, it is how life goes on.:)
