Who doesn't have one? Mobile phones or cell phones used to be pricey gadgets. Nowadays you can get one really cheap! I've seen a deal go through with a Nokia 3210 at only 150 pesos. Can you believe that? Contrary to what everyone believes, a cell phone isn't a status symbol! It is a gadget for communication, nothing more, nothing less. I see cell phones with a lot of features on it but really, the only thing you need with a cell phone is to call and text with. All those games and other features can go right out the window. It's not too bad to have the extra features though. My current phone has an MP3 player, a camera and can connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or GPRS. I find myself barely using my Internet connection there cause the screen is too small and I end up squinting a lot. The MP3 player is probably the most used feature aside from calls and texting. I use it during long and boring commutes to and from work. The camera is also used most of the time. Most of the pictures I took in the past were from my 5 Megapixel camera on this phone. After I got my Nikon Coolpix, I barely use my cell phone camera anymore. I guess I can say that the Nokia C3-01 is best for calling and texting and the touchscreen feature is good for selecting music. If you don't have a cell phone, your customers will be deprived of one major way to communicate with you. So go get one. Now!

I had a cell phone for ONE month last Summer and afterwards lived through such hell I vowed never to get another. I have an excellent program with my cable service that includes DSL, phone and digital cable. Love it! I got so gipped by the cell phone company that I will never try them again.

Yes. Yes, and misunderstanding on their part as to what was used. I have no need for a cell phone.

Yes, my mobile phone is very essential to me. I have to have it with me always specially at the office , because my boss might call anytime for an instruction. With the mobile phone, we can contact our loved ones immediately, at any time of the day, wherever we are. We can take a picture at any time we see a good shot, without bringing a bulkier camera. We can take a video for an important event. Gosh, this modern gadget has done so many things for us. Really!

I tossed my cell phone 4 years ago, never miss it. I understand they have their uses, but I would just as soon be in touch, yet out of reach more often then not. I can always respond to a message when I get back. With the world today though, that could offend someone, which is silly, but I see it all the time, oh so and so hasn't texted me back yet, and it has been like 5 minutes, perhaps I am just old fashioned, but I would prefer not to have a cell phone, and if my money making capability is hurt by this, then so be it. I may change my mind in the future, I do like the sixthsense technology I have been hearing about. Peace.

TExting and calling is not enough for me though. I need a smart phone to get me through the day. I need my push mail and not only a phone with gprs and wifi coz i need a pushmail app which is easier to use. I need my other applications that would allow me to text with people i deal with around the world for free and that's where BBM, kakao talk, live profile and whatsapp comes in. So you see i need more than just a call and a text. From the time i got my iphone i barely use my digital camera, in fact i'm planning to give it away and get a dslr instead for special occasions only. I take pictures using iphone and htc cam which are great and i can immediately edit them right there and then using instagram and other apps and email them to the people i care about or immediately post them in my blog, fb and twitter without any hassles. It made my life easier and so convenient. So i think with my lifestyle, smartphones are a necessity for me and it was never or i have never considered them a status symbol at all.
