The Bible calls Mediums and Fortune Tellers forces of darkness, it says "Why should people who are still alive ask something from the dead? It says "people should ask and seek God for help". The commentary goes on to say that those who consult the forces of darkness will be led onto paths of darkness. The darkness is not necessarily hell; it may mean despair, judgment trouble, or anguish. Have you ever seeked help from a Medium or Fortune-Teller? And How do you feel about them? Would you say you are seeking help from the dead?

I have not, nor will I, consult a medium or fortune teller. If they have any spiritual contact at all, it's with the dark side and I don't need anything from there. If I need to know something, I ask God. It's amazing the ways He finds to answer me and a lot more satisfying that paying someone to tell you something that may or may not be true or needful.

There was once a psychic I met through a cousin who attempted to do a palm reading on me.. She told me I'd have two children, have a successful career...blah, blah, blah.. None of that has happened, and frankly when she said it I didn't believe her. Besides, all of them seem to say that. Say what you most want to hear. Another time, my cousin and I went to a psychic fair. I was rather curious about the rocks they claimed that could heal (I like to look at shiny and sparkly stuff...), and that claimed they could see auras. Well, strange as it was, one of them asked to see my necklace.. A little gold cross necklace. As soon as I showed it to him, he recoiled and let go of it like he was frightened. Can't figure out why... It was a special trinket to me, but held no power on its own. *shrug* But yeah, when I have trouble with something I can't handle on my own, and when no one else can or will help, I do ask God for help. I've had amazing results too.

At the very least these people exploit the weak minded and gullible and perhaps the worst is much worst all the best urban

No, I have never sought help from a medium or fortune teller. I believe what the Bible says about them. And of course half of them are con people.

Hi, chevee.. I have once went to a fortune teller. I consult her just for my curiosity. My friend keeps on urging me to try hear what the fortune teller would say so, I went with her. It was card reading. When it was my turn, I really paid attention to what she would say. I was expecting that she will foretell what my future would be but to my disappointment, she was telling me more of my attitudes. Although she have guessed some of my traits, but from then on, I said to myself that I won't consult a fortune teller anymore.
