I just went to this site and it had a discussion on breakfast for dinner. It had some good suggestions on there for this great idea. However, the things that it suggested I can't eat most of those foods anymore. I have to be very careful of what I eat now that I am older and have been diagnoised with conditions. But back in the days (younger days) those type of food were fantastic. I still like breakfast for dinner but it is limited. My question is do you do breakfast for dinner? And if so would you like to share your menu.

As of this month, I have eaten grits for dinner for about three nights in a row. The only thing is that I put sugar and butter in them like my mom did for me when I was growing up. When I used to live with my mom, I remember the days when I would eat pancakes for dinner especially if there wasn't much dinner food in the house. Sometimes I even ate cereal for dinner. Anything to keep my stomach from growling.

I love eating breakfast for dinner! I usually do fried eggs or scrambled eggs and cheese. Biscuits and homemade gravy are a must! If I want to make the breakfast for dinner a little special I make up my yummy chocolate gravy for the biscuits. We usually include bacon too because it's my favorite. We only do sausage if we've had a chance to get it from the local butcher. Once you've had fresh sausage you will never buy store bought sausage again! If it's summer we have cantaloupe too. We end up eating so much we have to go walk it off before bed! Lol

Hello Chevee. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I like it in the morning or in the evening. I like to make a hash brown casserole with sour cream, onions, and cream of mushroom soup. It goes well with any thing. Another dish I like is biscuits and sausage gravy. I can't make good biscuits so I get large tube biscuits from the grocery store. Blue berry pancakes with blueberry syrup, bacon, and sometimes eggs. Breakfast foods make a good evening meal.

Hi deebomb, your breakfast sound real yummy, I am going to try your hash brown casserole. As for biscuits have you tried those Mary B's frozen biscuits they are much better than the can ones and they are just like homemade biscuits. They come in a bag and you can get different sizes, tea biscuits or jumbo. You should try those.

I don't know what you can't eat, but I enjoy creamed chipped beef for dinner (it's a milk gravy with chipped beef in it). I also make pancakes once in a while. You can make eggs with bacon and potatoes either on your plate or in a tortilla like a breakfast burrito. My father used to like sausage gravy on pancakes for dinner (milk gravy with sausage in it), but you can have sausage gravy with biscuits, too. I've occasionally eaten hot cereal for dinner because I didn't feel like cooking anything and I can make that in the microwave. But, I eat pretty much anything when I want it - like dinner for breakfast. If we have leftovers from dinner, I often reheat it for breakfast the next day, so what you eat is really up to you. If you are in the mood for a "breakfast" food, then go ahead and have some.

Sometimes I do do that have breakfast for dinner sometimes I will just have a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice, and other times a bowl of oatmeal with bananas and peanut butter and sugar and milk with a granola bar and a glass of orange juice or a cup of coffee or tea. Hope this helps you have a good day.

Virtually any breakfast meal can be served for dinner. Eggs are particularly versatile and can be combined with a variety of meats, cheeses, poultry veggies, even fruits. Crepes can be savory as well as sweet, i.e. spinach, cheese, mushroom, etc. There are also quiches, and potato and egg casseroles. Pancakes, French Toast, and Waffles can have several combinations, sweet or savory. Even cereal can be spiffied up, as in oatmeal souffle.

Often I make breakfast for Sunday lunch. It can be anything. French toast, pancakes, waffles, a casserole, ham, toast or bacon, eggs, fruit, etc. Some form of potatoes I do this because we are never all up for breakfast during the week and it is fast after church and feels special.

I can eat breakfast any time of day. It's comfort food! I like to stuff my omelets at night with potatoes, ham, tomato, peppers, onion, and cheese! Yum!

I suppose I am too conservative as regards breakfast, lunch and dinner are concerned.I eat a heavy breakfast,a reasonable lunch and a mild dinner. This has mainly to do with age and weight control. In my younger days i would eat a heavy breakfast and lunch followed by a fairly good dinner. But the thought that i could have breakfast for dinner never really struck me.If i could have breakfast for dinner,i would like sausages.Otherwise I'd prefer breakfast to be breakfast and quite separate and distinct from dinner.

I make breakfast for dinner once a week. I make pancakes, waffles and french toast. I also buy bagels and make bagel sandwiches. I put eggs, bacon and cheese on a bagel. I also make English Muffins and biscuits. Breakfast items are not as expensive as lunch and dinner food. Also, breakfast items are quicker to make.

Well, it's kind of hard to make recommendations when we don't know what your restrictions are. We do huevos rancheros, Belgian waffles and krupsi (pronounced KRUP-su-a, a Finnish dish, kinda like an oven pancake) on a regular basis. DH doesn't care for "breakfast for dinner" most of the time, but I do sneak it in fairly regularly.
