hi bunnybon oh thats a good idea I usually do work from my email too but I got some many notifications I just got desperate and just went to my friends p osted so then I meet up with cafe Mom every ten minutes or so. I have over a thousand friends and how can I respond to more than half if that many. help help lol

I know what you mean! I have been going nutty with it for a while now. Just when I think it's not going to pop up..there it is. It's usually when I have a good response or discussion thought too.

Actually, I don't have problems with Cafe Mom, I have problems with Geocities! It is so annoying when it pops up when I'm using my phone--I don't always hit the right thing, and end up losing my thoughts! And then I just don't even bother trying to type a new response! Annoying to say the least...

hi scorpiobabes Geo Cities is part of Cafe mom from what I see. I have had that pop up too which is odd as I have Firefox

covered all popups but not this one I guess.First I had to contend with Cafe mom then just as I thought I was getting back to mylot I got a bad page blah blah and tried the back button as so many here suggested. well news to them you do not retrieve your response when you hit back what you get is the blasted chance to retype your response allover again with that nice white box waiting your clenched fists. lol lol.

The pop-ups pretty much only show up when I'm using the phone--and I can't copy my response! Grrrrrrr! Guess I'll have to deal with them....sigh...

hi scorpiobabes wow that really sucks and you cannot copy while on the phone. thats a real bummer. A t least I can copy and thus if she pops up again and if I lose my 'response I will just paste it in the right box and go on my way.

You could try to use an add blocker. That might help. I do not have it because they are blocked off. But I would get mad if that popped up especially when I am either writing or responding. Sometimes my mind does not think and I need all the help I can get especially when trying to start a new discussion.

I use Safari and Chrome. I do have a blocker there. The only thing I do not like about Firefox is it is too slow - I sort of love the add ons too much.

hi suspensful I think myson put chrome on my new windows XP but I still u se firefox as i am used to it. I have the one that came with the old windows 200 IE bu its really really slow so never use it.Ihave lot of add ons on firefox too. lol.

hi suspenseful I got that notice too that theres a new version out and am wondering if it is better. I let my son do those changes as so often it involves stuff I am not to familiar with.I have heard of Safari b ut do not have it b ut I do have C hrome.

hi ElicBxn its so irritating as its been popping up whenever I hit the post response button and I hit go to mylot and its so slow loading. I had a response waiting to post and it 'went bye bye. people keep telling me just hit the back button well okay i did that and no I did not find my response at all.oh I was back at the discussion but all I found there was a nice big white box waiting for me to retype a new response. so now copy paste everything.grrrrr.I have super fast jack rabbit cable so its not my connection. its mylo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI there Hatley, Well, I do find it somewhat annoying but it's not real bad on my computer. I have high-speed so that's probably the difference. It only takes a second or two for me to get beyond it usually. If my computer were any slower though, I'm sure it would really annoy me.

hi sid it has to be mylot as I am paying 40;99 per month for jackrabbit speed on timewarner cable and on every other site it loaks zip zip but here so it must be something thats going on on mylot yesterday. I cou ld not even get on mylot for over an hour this morning so guess it was down for maintenance. no I have a high speed connection.

Another frustrating page, which I don't if anyone else gets, is it, "Bed Request" page..

I got that after I hit submit in HWG's box...

Anyway, yes it bothers me, but not only because it interrupts my mylotting when I barely have time here as it is, but my sister signed up for it. She thought it was the best thing to ever happen to her, and since I am the rebellious little sister, I don't want anything to do with it..

hi carm after having lost 3 responses because Cafe Mom disrupted things then I got the bad request and zip went another response so I figure I need to copy all responses and comments too for awhile.Oh the last few days I have got that Bad request thing several times. and this morning here in Garden Grove Ca when I tried to get into mylot I could not get in for over an hour. I guess they

must have been down for maintenance or something like that. So your sister likes that Cafe Mom not me not after all the slow down and loss shes cost.I would love to punch her virtual face in. lol lol lol.

I try to remember to copy, but when I am in a hurry I can't even spell, let alone remember to save..

But good thing you are starting into that habit and I will remember to save this before hitting that submit button...

hi fwidman is that a lot like just using clipboard as thats the quickest way I have found copy paste. I did not know about control C. wow. way to go.

It is a nuisanse to me,too! When I want to post a response and alot of times when I just want to read a discussion! I get the same thing when I want to post a photo,too! it is annoying! Nice to kow I am not the only one it annoys! LOL!

hi blue65packer you know I have wondered so often about 65packer and if that refers to a 65 Packard car? just wondering lol yes its so annoying and lately when I do get back onto mylot I have lost my response drat. and no hitting the back button onlytook me back to the discussion and an empty box asking me to retype it again. guess its best to copy any response now just in case. glad others are as annoyed as myself lol.

Cafe Mom is a P I T A (pain in the a**). I too get it popping up as I go to post a response or read what someone has written. It is like mylot's way of something that I have been on too long or something. :)

I'd like to second that! Yes it is quite annoying, I know it helps us all earn becuse it helps with revenue for this site, but it's a bit annoying. Though I suppose that it's helpful for those mothers on here who might have a page popup to help them save money on diapers, or a good lunch for the kids or something, but still, it's like ahhh I'd like to just respond! Maybe if it was like say every five discussions, it'd be more tolerable.

Hey Hatley, now that you have declared that all you can do is grin and bear it, then why not take it as a regular part of mylot. You are an experienced campaigner here..try this. When the next time Cafe Mom pops out don't act like you are annoyed at all instead show that you like it and kind of have a special bonding with it. This will help the irritation ease off a bit..thats all I can say..:) Hope it helps.

I don’t get Café Mom here so I am fortunate but I appreciate how you fell Hatley because I’ve had the same feelings on other sites! I am not sure an axe would be beneficial if you value your computer! It is so annoying to have those silly pop ups interfere with what you are doing. I may not have the solution but I sympathise that’s for sure. Now Hatley, step away from the axe...Step away from the axe...lol!

hi cutie it seems to pop up a lot of the time whem I hit post response and a lot of times when I get back on mylot my resonse has flown off and hitting the back key does not bring it back. so from now on I will copy all responses. yep help hold Cafe Mom down while I wack her one lol.

I do not have much of a problem with it, but it seems to go pretty quickly for me. I already belonged to cafe mom before this, but then again I am a mom.
