Don't use dish soap with bleach or bleach alternative on clothing stains

It will take the color out of that spot and ruin it. Both my mom and my older sister made this mistake. One of them had Dawn with bleach and the other one had a dish soap with bleach alternative.

The only time I really use bleach is on white socks but outside of that I don't like using bleach much. I agree with you as the colors will definitely get ruined and will certainly keep that in mind. I have on occasion used bleach with dish soap to get stains out of tub and sadly it splattered on to my clothing and ruined them.

Hi Flagaz, No not all soaps ruin clothes only the bleach will. It is too harsh on colored clothing. Dish soap mixed with bleach causes to create like ammonia so it will be way too harsh to mix it and use on clothing.

Bleach is harmful to wash the cotton clothes, it is better to use some soft liquids which are vastly available in our markets.

I try not to buy products with bleach as I tend to get it on my clothing. You can mix regular Dawn plus Ammonia, and water, all equal parts and treat most stains. Peroxide is good on fruit stains on whites, but spot check on your colored clothing.

The word Bleach should have been their first clue. I'm not quite sure what they were thinking. Best Wishes!

There is an available bleach for colored dresss here in my country and it is the one I'm using even for the white colored dress.

Thank you. I will remember that. Glad that when I ran out of laundry soap I only used it on white hankies.
