There are casey anthony trials about women who go out and party all night long leaving kids with grandparents and lying about their kids. (despite of metaphors) Then there are poor women who work, no form of transportation beside public, cross the road and their kid gets hit by a oncoming vehicle and they don't lie, hide the truth and they get three years in jail with no one defending her accept for one small news cast. What do you think about that?

That sounds about right these days. The laws are so corrupt. It is hard to find people that you can count on and trust anymore, especially the judicial system.
