Right now DC comics is the biggest example, with the restarting of 52 comics at issue number 1. Marvel and DC have both been doing early, universe spanning events for a while now. Even Image has begun as well. My question is with all of these stories and yearly changes that occur, do you even pay attention to collecting anymore?
I really enjoy comics. I have since I was roughly 8 years old. Although they keep changing things I still gotta read and stay updated. A few things that have been done have upset me but I understand it is all business decisions, some good and some bad. That is why I will always be a collector. If I stopped collecting as well as everyone else then the comics would not be made at all anymore and a piece of our culture would disappear in an instant.
DO all of you feel the same way? Please respond and leave you feelings on this subject.Have a wonderful day.

I used to collect Superman comics. I read them so much I wore them out. I would love to collect the Angel comics since I enjoyed the tv series so much. I can see where you would like to keep updated in the ones that interest you. I would hate to see this part of our culture disappear. I am glad to see that there are still collectors although I stopped years ago.

Yeah I actually buy 2 copies of every issue so I can read one and not touch the other. It gets really expensive, especially now as prices have gone up to $4 US dollars roughly. The Angel series is better looked at in trade form. They are all Mini-Series so buying the collected edition is better I think but they are pretty good. Thanks for your post

I do that with clothes cause I know I am not going to see them again. Smart idea! When I was reading Superman I was getting them for 10cents.

Yeah I started buying when they were $1.50. Everything price gets inflated all the time and that is solid proof. More money for less content

80% of mutants getting depowered in Marvel Universe, my fave characters like Human Torch,Jean Grey and Night Crawler getting killed,Red hulk taking over Hulk comics.
Spiderman being a member of Fantastic 4 and Jubilee turning into a vampire , so many comic book events I hated but I still collect comicbooks. I'm more into Marvel than DC but Batman is the only DC i buy, I love his villains.
I hate the Ultimate Universe of Marvel.....arvel Zombies is more readable.

Marvel titles you should try are deadpool, thunderbolts, sentinel and runaways, those titles are awesome.
Deadpool is a supervillain(occasional anti-hero) that breaks the 4th wall, he is very funny and have a big mouth.
Sentinel is about an outcast nerdy boy who found a broken Sentinel(yes those evil robots that X-men kills) he repaired and reprogam it making it his friend.
Thunderbolts is about supervillains with evil plans to have new identity, pretend they were superheroes but in the end they realized the love being heroes so they became heroes for real.
Runnaways is about teens and a kid who discovered their parents are supervillains, its going to be a movie
