things that upset you

You know I sitting here on phone, waiting for these people to answer. I know I've been on hold for about 7 min. This is just a really important call I have to make. Normally I wouldn't stay on hold for more than 3 minutes, and just try back later. I can't do that right now. Then I have to listen to bad music and the occassional advertisement. I'm getting so upset right now. Just try to remember not to take it out on the person that answers the phone, right? What upsets you. Do you have a pet peeve? How do you feel about waiting on hold?

oh my goodness where do i start. squeaking balloons. clowns. sitting on hold. people scraping their teeth off their fork. people licking their knife. people just hanging up when they've a wrong number instead of saying sorry! people who put the toilet roll going under, instead of up and over! men who don't put the toilet seat down! men who dont put the toilet seat up in the first place and pee everywhere! oh soooooooo much makes me angry!! lol!!

you're good at this. I'm going to ask you this question at least once a week. I agree with some of your answers, and some I think are a little funny(to me, not to you). I go crazy about the TP the wrong way too. And I'm a guy!

I'm a very time conscious person. It really ticks me off when people say I will be there at 10 and I don't seen them until 10:30 or later. If it's not an important meeting, I have to say something regarding their tardiness. It is totally unacceptable in my book. I live on the theory, if you need to be there by 10, you actually need to be there at 9:50. There very few reasons that are acceptable for tardiness or not showing at all. Best Wishes!

We have a doctor here. That is never on time. When we would be having a meeting we would schedule all the patient 1 hour after his scheduled arrival time. Because they were beginning to get angry that the wait was so long. Can't say as I blame them. I would be angry too. He is the hardest, most dedicated doctor but he needs to be on time. This is a great way to lose patients if you ask me. Best Wishes!

I agree. This morning I was 20 minutes early for my monthly hospital check up--just in case, right. And it turned out that the Dr. was 10 minutes late. I was disappointed that a professional like that can't even show up to work on time. Sure it was traffic...LEAVE EARLIER I say.

It can be very frustrating to be on hold waiting for your turn to reach the right person to speak to over the phone. Mainly I load up with much patience to finally come through to speak to the person I have my intention to reach. When I come to an answer manchine and I leave a message for the person to call me back, and they do not do it I can upset. What's the point to have a answermanchine on the phone and not get back to people who have called? There are many things that upset me interacting with people. Like when they rejects you or ignore you they see you but you feel like you are invisible.

Things like these do not only upset me. It infuriates me. I hate to wait long for no specific reason. I get so angry because, as for me, I am always early because I don't want anyone to wait for me not only because I know how it feels but I feel so so ashamed when i am late and I also expect other to care about not keeping others waiting.

It's normal in UK that you spend endless time hanging on the phone listening music which is really bad and it's irritating. After 20 minutes on the phone you still listening the same bad music. When someone finally answering your phone you forgetting what you really wanted because you are so tired of waiting. More irritating this days is that you need password for everything. I understand that you need password for bank account and everything which is related to your money but do you really need password to your utility account? Who will stand the chances that some crazy person will pay all your bills?

This really feels bad and irritating. On the same line i also feel bad when I go to meet some officials , and if they get a call, they starts talking and keep doing so without acknowledging my presence. and just keep me on hold until all there calls are over

i dont experience being put on hold often as i have nobody to call. what upsets me is when someone will tell me that he/she is going to do this or bring that to me and it didnt happen. i wont get mad or something but it somehow upsets me especially if i get very excited when i was told. i dont do follow ups, i just wait for that thing to happen as promised/told.

Its actually very disgusting when such things happen, whenever we have something important to talk and we are put on hold i really get frustrated but being very important conversation to share we can not even stay longer for more time, this things keep on pissing a lot in life not only this things related to such issue such as waiting in Que, waiting for some arrivals such things when they are delayed and not appropriate they are literally very annoying, So in the end concluding on the topic i feel very upset when such things happen.

Well on the phone topic. I hate it when a person calls and leaves a voicemail. If that isn't bad enough, the voicemail gives no details as to what they wanted: "Give me a call" or "I was just trying to get in touch with you." Really? I saw I missed your call and I will get back to you without the "please enter your pass code then press pound.You have one new message from phone number 0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9.'err, umm well i see you couldn't get to the phone. so please call me back'"
