Maybe I am a momma's boy, and I haven't done my own shopping over a year already. I was lazy, and I didn't care about it. Lately, my Mom bought some new clothes for me, and she had them hang in the closet for this summer. I tried on some of them, and actually I didn't like them. I had told her about it, and she just told me, they aren't that bad, sure you will like them. Also, those jeans aren't fit me at all. I don't even like them too, but I have to wear them once for while, since my mom would ask "why didn't you wear the jeans I bought you." Unless I have to show some appreciation. Maybe I should do some shopping on my own, and pick my own clothes. But I am not a shopping type of guy, and it is boring. I might go to walmart or Old Navy make a quick trip next weekend.

That's what happens whenever i shop for my daughter. She would either not like the color or it will not fit her well. That's why now, we would give her the money and she shops for the best that she likes.
I guess, you should shop for your own things. You will eventually like shopping my friend.

Hey kingparker! It seems that we have the same type of personality and almost the same type of mom.
I do hate shopping because I can't decide fast enough on the things I would buy. I am very critical with what I buy especially with shoes and clothing that I consume a lot of time doing this. My mom is a very thoughtful kind of mom. She always buys me clothes whenever she got the time to shop at discount stores and the like. But yes, sometimes the clothes she bought for me aren't the one that I like. Well, I think I should be really the one who buys my own clothes to ensure that what I buy is what I want. A lot of stuff now are just stuck in my cabinet because I don't use or wear them. This is one of the disadvantages of being the youngest in the family and a momma's boy eh.

I hate shopping also but it has to be done. Sigh. I do alot of my shopping online so I do not have to travel to the store and fight the crowds.

Yes, since you don't really like the clothes that your mother had bought for you, then it is better you choose your own clothes to wear. No one wants others laughing at them just because wearing clothes chosen by their parents, right? From our parents view, the clothes looks nice on us. But, due to the color or pattern, then it may not fit us according to own our view. That's why, it is not wrong to choose our own cloths to wear.

yes. time you went out and bought your own clothes.
i remember with my daughers there was a time when they were young enough that i could chose clothes for them, but then as they got a little bit older and more independent they not only wanted to buy them themselves, but they had to, as i just didn't know what they liked anymore because they had completely different tastes in clothes to me. even if i went into the teenage fashion section of a shop i would always like one thing and they would like another.
so you have to go out and buy them yourself, with the best will in the world no one can chose your clothes for you, its part of our identity, and a very personal thing.
