what do you think? have you ever seriously thought about this stuff when you were first going out with your partner? is it important for a couple to be known in each other's family? especially if they are going steady for while?
Is introducing each other with family members important? what do you think?

For me, it is important. This act gives your parents have more trust in you. Rather than telling a lie on why you come home late or go out even when there is no class or no reason to be not at home during weekends. I have difficulties introducing my bf to my parents and it really makes me feel guilty lying to them everytime I come home late. I was able to introduced him to my parents when I already have the courage to do so and I really did prayed for the right time to come.

When my boyfriend was courting me 6 years ago, I introduced him to my mom. Since he is a friend of my friend as well, my mom don't have any problem with that. I really like him already during that time so I want to hear my mom's opinion about him before accepting his proposal to be his girlfriend.

I think that it is very important. I found out through my husband and his family I was the first woman to bring home and meet the family. He had gone out with a lot of girls, but did not feel like they were the one. Now I did not know this so when he took me I was nervous but really did not get that bad until his family started telling me this. Yikes. Fortunatly they like me and I like them and it turned out well, but in another relationship it was a bad bad idea. They took a instant dislike to me (some) and others just saw some one to use. Very scary
