Tell me your reason why you sent a friend request to a someone. I've been a member here for 10 days already I sent 16 friend request and 10 of them accepted my request. I received 1 friend request and I accept it. I usually send a friend request if I saw someone that respond to my discussion (specially has an avatar) but more importantly I send a friend request to someone that is my countrymen. I don't ingnore a friend request here but i have ignored a lot in facebook..

Hi Jacruz! I don't send friend requests anymore. I have a lot of friends already here in myLot and I had to turn off the notifications for some of them because my inbox gets really full when a lot of them starts a discussion. So I don't send friend requests anymore but I welcome friend requests. I only add people based on what I see in their profiles. Like, if we have the same interests, or if the person responded to any of my discussion, or vice versa, or if I think I can respond to some of the person's discussion. It doesn't matter to me where the person is from.

There is a way so that your inbox will not be flooded with mylot notification. Create a folder named mylot. Then create a rule in your email that every email message coming from mylot.com will be stored in mylot folder. That way you can still see important emails in your inbox and mylot notification in a different folder. Happy mylotting!

I usually send friend request to someone that I see is active and has something in common with me. I also find a lot of people through responses to my discussions. I have over 2600 hundred facebook friends.. so I don't refuse a lot.. but sometimes when someone requests me and I can't see why (no friends in common- no interest in common) I am suspicious and will refuse them.. It's always good to send a note with you facebook friend request to let them know why you are requesting them.. Here we can't do that.

me either. i don't send a friend request to members who have less than 20 posts or doesn't even have an avatar. They're like spammers to me. but if they add me I just confirm them it's not a big deal to me.

When someone wants to be my friend I go and look at their page and see how they found me and if we share some of the same interests. Country does not bother me as I love to learn and have a respect for other cultures. Like you its easier here to have friends here like you said rather than facebook. I got caught up in facebook for awhile and actually liked playing a couple of games but then I realized in order to get higher in your games you had to add people all the time. So I bowed out. I like mylot much better. And everyone seems to respect each others opinions.

Same here. We can easily have friends if we have same interest. Of course it's easier to have friends here than in facebook. Facebook now a days have lots of spammers so I turned my profile private. Happy mylotting.

I usually send a friend request if I find that person interesting especially the discussions or comments she/he has. One important thing I always look for is the interest that we share with. Of course we how can we get in touch or connected if our interest varies. I accept friend request from whatever country they came from but as you have said that it's really good to have more friends within your country because I believe that we'll be able to understand each other better. I also accept requests whether they have avatars or not as long as they make sense.

I do not give friend request as i have so many friends now here at Mylot. I also accepts all friend request i received and i do not mind if they keep on inviting me to be part of their referral. I just don't mind the message if i find it irritating. Don't mind those who rejected you as there are so many members here. and keeps sending your friend request you might never know a possible friendship will come over.

You can send me a freind request. If I have a good response from someone I may send them a friend request because I feel a connection with them. People live in different time zones and have jobs and can't always get online. So I wouldn't feel real bad if people don't except right away. And some may not see a connection where you do.

I haven't sent a friend request in awhile. I usually send them if it seems I have a lot in common with the person. It also matters to me if they reply to responses and what they say.

I never really have sent a friend request to someone to tell you the truth. The friend system on any website does tend to be something that flies underneath my radar. I have never really felt the need to pad my friend count, because its just a number on the Internet. It is really nothing that is going to drastically effect my life one way or another. As for accepting them, a very strict criteria. They have to be an active member here. If someone has less than a handful of posts or no posts, I get a bit weary to tell you the truth. There are a number of times where I think that other people think that "friend" means "full permission to spam you without regret." That is really something that makes me weary. If I remember to check the friend requests, I accept people who are rather active here.

I only have few friends in My Lot and most of them are inactive somehow. If I saw a discussion that is really interesting, I send a friend request. I basically don't mind if someone will add me whether we have common interest or not. For me, the more the merrier.

Hi there! I normally send a friend request to follow the discussions opened by this person. Sometimes I also send a request so I can send that someone a message. I don't think I have any other specific purpose.hihihi.. But all my friend requests, I accept 100%!

Hmmm I not send more friend request only after seeing the profile I sent one or two friend request. I sent friend request because I wants they will participate on discussion and we can share our views etc. In my friend list 40 friends request are pending I accept only one or two because other is not active here I know very well.

I am new here and haven't requested any friends yet. Country doesn't matter at all to me, I love to have friends from other countries. I would not mind accepting friends here and on facebook will not accept someone I do not know personally. I feel facebook is more for close friends and family. I am still getting to know my way around here. I would send a request if I liked something they said or had something in common with me.

hijacruz I have in four years only sent four friend requests as so many have come to me and requested to be my friend. I am very active here as I am retired so I guess a lot have seen my responses to their discussions and thought they would like me . lol. as for my avatar I do not know if people like it or not .I keep changing it as its a graphic and I want it to be really lovely and shoe up better. as for face book no I do not accept more friends as I am not on there enough to really count.I dont really like facebook. too complicated for me.

The more the merrier. The more friends I have the more discussions I see, specially if they are active. And it's nice to know new people every now and then. Happy mylotting!!!

I rarely send out friend requests I've only sent one request until now. I've added the person because we were near the same age, we were both the same gender and we were living in the same country. So yeh probably due to the identical profiles we have - that's the reason why I added the person.. I've also accepted a couple of friend requests over here at myLot. More friends added means more discussions to get exposed to. :)
