I didn't have a chance to make a phone call last night

My mom taking the phone all night long, unbelievably over 3 hours long, she just chitchat with her friend over some trivial conversation. I got my cellphone, but the minutes are almost over, and I just want to make a long distance call. With my cell, it might charge me a lot of money before 9:00 P.M.. I don't have a landline, but I do have a voice over IP type of phone, and it is free to call anywhere. So I waited patiently, one hour, and 2 hours over, finally I gave up. Since it is late, I don't want to bother the person I want to call. I may not be chatty person, but over 3 long hours of conversation, that is a bit too much, don't you think?

Noramally I don't talk that long on the phone, but there is that occassional person I will talk to for hours on end with and not even care. But, those people I don't talk to everyday. They are people I talk to a few times a year at best. Some of which I've gone two three years without having a phone conversation. Not to say we don't talk. I text a lot. But, I don't think you should be upset. If you wanted to make the phone call, wait until your nights/weekends start, or call them and have them call you back. That would've been smarter than being angery with your mom for chosing to have a three hour phone conversation.

I know what you mean. I hate talking on the phone. I do use it from time to time though. I hate it when someone wants to keep me ont he phone for a very long time. Ten minutes is long enough unless it is really important that we continue with the conversation.

We should not use cell phone too much, I went through some articles and news on the net and found that talking over the cell phone for long duration can cause health issue's.
