My sister has been on steroids due to some health problem . She is tending to gain weight . Please suggest some simple exercises for weight loss . Astoundingly she has more accumulation of fat in her tummy . In short she has developed a sort of cushinoid feature . As her steroid dose cannot be reduced she has to depend on exercises only . Hope to tips from members here .

I had the same problem. After accident I was forced to take steroids due to nerve damage. After that I gain some weight and my body looked like cushion. It's really hard to fight this because this is not food related weight gain. First you have to do exercise, every dingle day. You have to be stubborn to fight this. Also diet can help a little bit but exercise are crucial. After three years of that time when I had to take steroids still I'm not looking like before therapy.

Thank you so much koperty3 ! Its nice to hear from someone who had to go through the problems . We have tried with her diet control but it didnot help . Now I can understand that she has to exercise regularly and devotedly to fight this effect of steroid .

It's hard too loose it as it's not food related. But I believe your sister can make it if she will exercise every single day like me. Just she has to force her body to develop some changes. I wish both of you good luck because I know hard hard it was and still is. If you got some question just let me know. I will be glad to help. Wish you nice day :)

In order to lose the extra weight, your sister will have to do some form of cardio exercise a few times a week. This could be walking, jogging/running, biking, etc., whatever is the easiest and most convenient for her. Then she'll have to reduce the amount of fat-burning carbs and replace them with fat-burning proteins. Try to eliminate overly processed foods from her diet. After she's lost some of this extra weight, she can start some exercise moves that will tone her stomach. The toning exercises won't get rid of fat, they'll just make the stomach muscles more defined. But in order to define them, the layer of fatty tissues on top have to go.
