Private Mylot Profile

Hi there! I don't mind that everyone can see my MyLot profile. I have a lot of interesting links in my profile anyway. Some lotters may want to find new sites to help them earn extra online and I have several sites for them to see. However, just like you I don't like spammers. I still receive a few spam messages in my mails but I don't mind as long as they just send me once or twice. Anything beyond that would probably piss me off.hehehe...

nop. i dont think mylot profiles should be made public. people here know the terms and conditions and they share their info based on that. so if there is some info you wouldnt like to share then just dont post it. spamming is not really welcome here. spammers and trolls are the enemies of mylotters. if you add a spammer as a friend then just delete him.

Hi Jacruz! I haven't received any messages that are not from my friends. I have however, experienced confirming friend requests and it would turn out that those people only want to invite me to join whatever sites and be their referral. I hated that. I have deleted those friends though. I'm just not sure if there is a privacy setting that we can change so that only our friends can send us messages. But in my case, only my friends have been sending me private messages. Good luck.

Hello Jacruz25, For your information user who is on your friends list can only PM you.Please read guidelines again. Also you can delete anyone from your friends list anytime when you feel so.So whenever you feel that some one is spasming you then you can delete him/her from the list.

Huh? I believe it is already settled. Only your friends could message you. Like stated on http://www.mylot.com/about/messages.aspx : "You choose who you want to receive messages from! If a user that you have added to your friends list turns out to be undesirable or a spammer, simply remove them from your list. If you'd like to communicate with myLot user who currently is not on your friend list, you can request the as a friend" And I don't feel profile private is necessary, because I have nothing to hide in my profile xD.

I think there is really no way to rid ourselves of spammers 100%. No matter how picky or choosy you are on who you add up as friends, you'll just never know. In the end, all we can do as one myLotter suggested is to delete unwanted messages. Crappy, I know but nobody's to blame. =D

Now this is something new. One member which is not your friend can actually send you a private message ? I do not think that is possible, at least as far as I tried many times to contact somebody here without being friend, I did not find any way except replying in a open discussion. Else, profile is private enough if you do not add a pic and share not the age and gender. However, pay attention: the more private (hidden) you are, the less people will want to share with you ..
