Don't you hate fixing your toilet?!

I hate fxing my toilet. This is the FOURTH thing wrong with it and at least I was able to fix it myself this time. I told the maint that it was leaking when I first moved in and where. What did they do just shut off the water instead of getting a new hose thats about six inches long at the base...where the water comes from. They did tape it I saw with MASKING tape and painted over it so when I moved in it immediatly started to leak. I ripped it off as soon as I found out they were not going to fix it and put water proof tape till I got the hose for it. Now it the lever inside that was busted. I had to put mighty putty on it and it worked. ug

I know the feeling, we have problems with our toilet as well.
It constantly runs.
The chain that runs from the flusher needs to be attached with a safety pin, and the last one rusted out. The chain keeps falling off the flusher lever inside.
Very annoying. It's too bad that toilets didn't work properly all the time.

yes yes yessssssss i hate it!! It happened to me last month too and it was the first time it ever happened so I panicked!! I had no idea what to do and the water was just overflowing and god it was such a mess. Thank god mom came home just in time and called the plumber. I hope it never happens again though I'm scared coz it did happen once and who knows it might happen again X(
