I wish one day I could satisfy myself with just a cup of coffee a day.

I am finding it hard to understand how my body started rejecting coffee. I know that I am healthy and I don't know what is causing me to get really nervous each time I drink coffee. It happens when I drink tea too. And tea is my favorite. I get so jealous when people can drink them. The smell of coffee is too irresistible. I'm just really sad I can't. Nervoussness is such an unpleasant feeling. I wish one day I can. I wonder why it has to be like this? It is almost like a torture to me because it is the same with having decaf coffee.

thats an interesting problem you have there thetis.
my body has a strange relationship with caffeine too. recently i gave up coffee, because i decided it was bad for me, but i started to feel incredibly tired, i really was, i had no energy at all, so i started drinking it again, and felt fine.
maybe your body is rejecting caffeine for some reason, as i think quite often our bodies know what they need
but apparently decaffeinated coffee still contains some caffeine so that might be the problem with that.
i love the taste of coffee too, and i tried to find a few replacements, i tried a couple of herbal teas that have strong flavours, i like the taste of fennel and liquorice, so i tried mixes of tea that contained those flavours, but no caffeine, and that seemed to work. i also tried a brand of dandelion coffee, and i could put milk in that, and that was ok, as with the milk in i could pretend it was coffee.

I did also tried decaf and it didn't work. Perhaps I could also try that if I could fine some. I'm just not really fond of chocolate milk drinks to substitute my coffee and tea. There are a lot of times that I get so thirsty and crave for coffee. It's nice of you to share.

Everything is the same. Even my herbal coffees don't work. As long as there is caffeine it is just terrible. It is like the nervoussness goes up to my head and it feels scary. Every time I am tempted and get nervous I just tell myself, "I told you not to drink coffee".

I can tell you about a drink which is very healthy and easy to make at home. You can try it as it is summer.Take white yoghurt(Plain/low fat) 2 tablespoon add six grapes,1 banana,2 strawberry, sugar to taste, and some cold milk.Pour the whole thing in the food processor and blend it throughly.you can add some ice to it.For a change you can try it with different fruits & different yoghurt.I wish it would be a nice substitute for coffee, and very healthy.
