I believe that the future is uncertain therefore it is best to travel when you are younger. Ages 18 to 25 years old are very good for traveling when the person has much energy. Later on in life a person can have the commitment of career, marriage and children. When I was aged 18 I traveled around Europe by train. I went to Tunisia and St Lucia when I was 19 years old. I was 20 to 21 years old when I traveled around the world. In my mid twenties I traveled to Kenya and did a safari there. I went to Israel and Jordan too at that sort of all. How about you? What do you think about waiting until aged 65 years old for traveling? Is is good to travel when you are a student?

I did not do that extensive travel because I did not have the money to do so. We would go all over British Columbia because I lived in the Vancouver mainland, and go to Washington State and get as far as Oregon . Then when I got married, we went to Saskatoon, and could go to Montana, North Dakota, and later Minnesota. When we moved to Winnipeg, we went to PEI and later Alaska, but that did not happen until my husband retired. My sons who had good careers were able to go farther when they got married and on their honeymoon. One went on a Meditteranean cruise and one went to Mexico with their brides of course. It depends on the circumstances. If you have money, you can travel when young, but when you do not have that much, you have to wait. I think health has something to do with it or whether you want to be categorized as old. I would not like to go with a seniors group and just go by myself or with a friend.

We live in Ontario but my husband is from PEI. His idea of a vacation is going to PEI. I don't go with him anymore because I don't consider that a vacation. All we do is visit people, party and go to the beach when the weather is good. The last couple of times I went the weather was not the greatest so one or two visits to the beach was all we fit in during two weeks. My husband and I have never gone on a REAL vacation anywhere together.

Sounds like when my husband was alive. He used o live in Saskatoon and every year we would go there because his mother was there and his sisters except for a couple of times when we could go to Surrey to visit his youngest brother and wife or when my brother was ill when we had the flood of the century, Most of the time we could not afford to go to Vancouver where he also had his oldest brother and the only time we went to :PEI was in 2007 to see his next oldest brother. Most of the time they had to come to see us or wind up in Saskatoon. I was really glad when we finally went on our Alaskan Cruise. Same thing most every year does get boring.

Hi maximax! I also think it's better to travel when you're younger. Traveling is kinda tiring when you go from places to places. Even if you say you are enjoying touring parts of the world, you are spending energy and so you get tired. I don't think it will be easy for older people to do that. I guess those who travel in their old days just means they have too much responsibilities in their younger days and they still had an ambition they wanted to achieve. And probably because they still needed to work to save money for traveling. Just like me.

My mother waited to do most of her traveling later in life and since she didn't have children (at home) or even worries about postponing education, she was a happy traveler.

I think it is good to travel when people are younger. First, young people can learn everything and adjust to the new place in a short time. Second, they shall have more free time such as the summer or winter vacation. When they grow up, they hardly have their own time, especially when they have their career and family. I love China

Hi, for me, it's not best to travel when younger. The best age to travel is 35 to 40 years old. At this moment, a person have a sense of touch to go back its history, an appetite of appreciation for the great people in the past and the great human contributions in the civilizations. When you are young and traveling, you could have the energy then, but feeling the nature and the history of the past civilizations is not your concerns. Traveling when you are 65 years old is not a good idea then having your medicines at the exhausted sites. Work then earn something for travels at historic sites.

Better to go travel while we still fresh, have energy and young. I am saving my money so that I can travel around the world. I wonder if the place are just like what I have seen in internet or they are more than that. I am sure there are more to explore while young and I want to do it before it's too late to do so.(^^)

I am 49 and I wish I had done for traveling when I was 18 to 25! I know alot of college students who do during christmas and spring breaks! Some travel over the summer, too! They travel all over the USA! Some visit their home countries like Japan or China! Some travel to other countries like I know one kid who spend 3 weeks in Germany this summer! I also know a kid who spent 6 weeks in Korea last summer! So now I have no money to travel! Maybe when I retired I will be able to! I am also jeaulous of my nephew in the Navy! He has been to Japn and Thailand so far! Lucky guy!

After university, when all of my friends were desperately seeking husbands and having babies, I went travelling. I went to Europe, I even made it into Russia, and I had a wonderful time. My mother despaired of me, not wanting to settle down and make her a granny. Well, my brother did that, so she should be contented. But my grandmother wisely said to me, when I was telling her my plans initially, that I should travel when I'm young, because once I get married I won't be going anywhere. She was partly right. I married eventually, moved to England, and we don't go anywhere now.

Traveling needs our energy and enthusiasms. So,we'd better travel and to see the outside world. It's amazing,so i suppose it is a good age from 18 to 25 for people to go,when we are older, the function of our body declining and we are busy working for life,so ,there wouldn't be so many opportunities for us to see outside world. But when students always travel outside, money is indeed a problem.

I think it's not necessarily important or best that you travel while you're younger, but if your family's funds are able to, then why not right? That's one of the many constraints why some people couldn't travel especially at a younger age. If you're talking about traveling as a student, I think it's good, in a way that one, you're able to learn more about various cultures and different people, and two, you're always coming out fresh after the travel, and that makes you have a more positive outlook on life and studies.

good for you, you can afford to travel even at an early age. I think, at any age, a person can travel while still physically able, provided he can afford it financially. It is also good to travel when a person is still a student as long as he can afford it.

good for you, you can afford to travel even at an early age. For me, when I was that age, from 18 to 20 I was still a student and no travel even within our country. Then I married at 20. The more that I had no money for travel. I was broke when I married. We were only supported by my parents during those times. I think, at any age, a person can travel while still physically able, provided he can afford it financially.

yes o also it accepted. In young age we can travel in country any where but at the same it must compulsory before marriage , after marriage means there is problem of children, because in now i am in that stage, so you enjoy you travel before marriage , then only we enjoy other wise it is really impossible.

I think it's good to travel at any age. I've been to Europe several times, and many of my friends have also traveled throughout North America. I don't think you should wait, but I know some people aren't as interested in traveling, so maybe they would prefer to wait until they had more leisure time.

I think it's better to travel when you're young because you have less fear. Like I wish I had taken my daughter on an airplane when she was younger because now she won't get on a plane too save her life. She's so scared of them. That and boasts. She thiinks eveything is going to be like the Titanic and sink.

I travelled around in Europe and lived abroad when I was in my twenties. At that time I was independent. I wasn't married and didn't have any pets. I didn't have a house and bills to pay, so I was able to travel for months and work abroad for months. The money that I earned when I worked abroad I spent on travelling. I loved my lifestyle and I was able to visit many different places. Today I am married, I have a job in my own country, I have many pets and I have a house and lots of bills to pay, so I can't travel the way I did in the past. My life is different today, and I also love the life that I have today, but I am happy that I had the chance to travel a lot when I was younger.

I think any age is good for travelling. It all depends on many variables where you go, for how long and all that. Now I am not even allowed by my health to leave my house, but I´m plnning vacations from my computer. Chemos will have to end and I´ll travel if they don´t kill me I went t o the US with my parents for the first time whn I was 11 and they were wise nough to take us to Chicago, Washington DC and New York before we came back home. In Summer, they made outings to the nearby lakes (we were in Wisconsin) and they sent me alone to a girl´s camp (a wonderful experience I had with my best friend). Both of my daughter went for a year abroad when they were 16. The eldest went to England (Cambridge) to where my sister was living and attendd school there: The youngest went to the US with the American Field Service. She still has contact with her american Mm and Janet has come to Chile for a visit. The present is all we have: let´s have fun and let´s learn.

I don't travel much and I don't think i can judge as of the moment but I still want to say something..:) i would probably prefer to travel when im younger probably a couple of years from now because i can practicaly enjoy the places more and worry about stuff like work or commitments to family or those kind of stuff and plus traveling when your older sometimes when you age you get different kinds of illness that may restrict you to travel.. :_
