I am now on my third passport. In my home country an adult passport lasts for 10 years and a children's passport lasts for 5 years. In my second passport I got evidence of a trip to Israel. I have had a visa to visit Hungary and a visa to visit Jordan. I have had a Working Holiday Visa for Australia and a visitors visa for Australia. I would love to visit Russia, Mongolia and China but getting visas is expensive and bothersome. I am lucky to have a British Passport because some other passports need a visa almost everywhere. I was so happy when visas were abolished in many countries in Eastern Europe. Have you ever had a Working Holiday Visa? How many passports have you had so far in your life? What do you feel about visas?

In my country passport only lasts for 5 years and we need to renew it every 5 years. This is my first passport and I havent travel too much and I prefer travel to neighbor countries who doesnt require visa application and we can get visa on arrival. It is hard to get visa to western countries, but when I have enough fund i have plan to travel to European countries. I heard about Working Holiday visa but I never tried to get it because in my country we are limited 100visas/year. Beside we need to have enough fun in our bank account, to apply working holiday visa we also need to provide IELTS or TOEFL score, and to be honestly my English is not good. But I wish someday before i reach age 30 I can get a working holiday visa, so I can get new experience by working and traveling.

Thanks for your excellent response. It is a shame that every 5 years people in your home country need a new passport. It is awful that it is hard to get visas to Western countries when a person comes from poor country in Africa, Asia or South America. It is terrible that your country have a quota of 100 working holiday visas. It should be unlimited in order to give everyone a chance. I had to show evidence of more than £2,000 in my bank account. Australia doesn't want destitute people there that is why they ask proof of enough money. It is shocking they ask for English language score. They say under 30 so I hope you can get there in time. Good luck.

I am also on my third passports - stamps in my passport are my proudest thing! Lol I have never had a working visa but, would also love to visit Russia and even working in the travel industry, it is still so expensive to get to and of course I would still have that huge expense for the visa!

Hello Frankie. It is lovely your passport stamps are your proudest thing. I hope that you get to visit Russia and hear that it can take 5 days for a visa to be granted. Otherwise the option is to get a visa agent to get the visa for you. I hope that you really enjoy working in the travel industry.

I think that working holiday visa is only available for the white race and not to the brown race....I just think so.... Now, I am using my 4th pssport and they are all dirty. Sometimes visas is not fair for citizens like us who belong to third world countries as the rules are very strict to us....however, I was never denied of any visa yet whether tourist or working visa. I had no problem getting a US visa on the first attempt which I acquired in Manila as well as my schengen visa. My UK visa was issued in Oman, and did't get any problem as well. My visa to Egypt did not require any physical appearance, I sent the application and passport through the company's PRO, and it was stamped on my passport. Working visas for Qatar, UAE and Oman had never had any problem as well. Visit to Asian countries did not require any visa, we automatically get a 30 day stay...those counties who are member of Asean nations. You mentioned that you have an evidence of visit to Israel. We, expatriates working in the gulf region where we are currently resident can be kicked out from here if we have a stamp of Israel visa. I was told that in case we would like to visit Israel and having the resident visa in any gulf country, the Israel immigration will not stamp anything on our passports so as not to give us any trouble.

When I was in Singapore I met an Israeli lady and she had to fly to Thailand. Malaysia wouldn't let an Israeli passport holder go into that country. Therefore getting the Israel and Jordan border stamp I knew not Arab country would let me in. Yes, you are right in saying if an expat in the Gulf Region got an Israeli stamp he or she would be thrown out of the country. I think Australia is selective which nationalities can apply for a working holiday visa. They want fluent English speakers so they like English people. It is ever so bad they just give working holiday visas to First World countries. I am pleased to hear you haven't had any problems getting visas. Thanks for your excellent response.

I think that all the red tape is necessary, but a very irrataing evil for those who want and can travel. It's nice to know they are still so stringent about it, alothough for you it probrobly a headache! Good luck and God Bless

I like having a passport and feel that this should be enough. I hate the extra expense of visas. Though I loved getting my working holiday visa for Australia then I was able to afford to travel around the world. Many thanks for wishing me good luck. I hope that you are having a lovely day.

Hi maxi, I have now my fourth passport. In my country an adult passport lasts for 5 years and it is renewable for another 5 years. I want a visa free world. If travelers can visit from one country to other country without any restriction it will be wonderful.

I am on my second passport. Our passport expires every five years and I don't have any working holiday visa. Most Asian countries require visas going to other countries particularly US, Australia, Canada, European countries and other Asian countries. I only acquire visa when I went to Bahrain for a vacation and then when I left my country to be with my hubby in India. I haven't been to European countries yet but for sure it will acquire us visas since were Asian and it is not that easy to acquire. But all you needed is money of course to get the job done with any agency that will fix that visa application. Good for you, you're a traveler and you have the money to spend for such wonderful vacations.

I have only ever had one passport which expired well before I filled it up. I need to get another one though because we are planning on either taking a South Pacific cruise this year or going to the USA for a business trip/family holiday next March. I have had a work visa for the USA in the past in 97/98 so it will be good to visit some friends and the place that I lived when I was there last time. I got a travel visa for China in 1998 when I was in London. It was not hard to get at all from memory. It did take a couple of weeks, so we had to organise it when we first arrived in London and then pick it up at the end of our visit just before we flew out to Beijing, but it was pretty straight forward.

I did not had a working holiday visa upto now. But, i will get soon one. I had only one passport upto now. I feel that they are a kind of stress because of their strict rules. Some times people did not get visas at the right time. So, i think this procedure must be changed.
