Yippee! Today I got back my No. 10 ranking again.....

Our myLot reputation (the star) does affect our earnings. I explained it in the comment that I left in the response box above.

thanks but unfortunately some mean mylotters has ruined my ranking again and rated me negatively, now i fell back to 9th rank in less than 24 hours....but this does not affect the earnings and we are paid accordingly based on the quality of our comment...that's very good thing about it...

Actually, our myLot reputation (our star) does affect our earnings. It is explained in the FAQS here http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx specifically the part that states "The DRS is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community".

Oh! is it? I didn't know that....it was a long time since I reviewed the FAQ's...thank you for the info purplealabaster, I think I need to review the FAQ's again.

No, it doesn't affect the earnings....as what happened now....in less than 24 hours after gaining back the 10th rank I was rated negatively hence my rank fell to 9th rank again...but these people who want to spoil my happiness will not win because I won't stop posting and commenting...no matter what the rank we still get paid and the moderators are rating the quality of our comment and pay us accordingly.

but you have an alternative....you can have a room for rent or simply bedspace where you pay for the space of the bed only and share the room with other people....that would costs minimum USD 50/- month.

Yes I am filipino citizen but unfortunately, it has been several years that I am always away from my country....i have no idea on the current trends there now :(....to give you an idea, maybe an apartment would cost you Php 10,000 or approximately USD 250/- depending on the type of the accommodation.

Of course i like it when i see the ranking is going up....it gives me some kind of self satisfaction that many users liked my comments....with regard to the earnings, i need to research on that..... I didn't think about that no one gives you a + rate....of course they did otherwise you wouldn't have reached your rank now....just keep on participating you will reach the 10th rank sooner or later. cheers!

Actually I reach the 10th ranking before I finish 200 postings, I think around 150 only....then it fall to no. 9 in june after my less participation for almost 2 months....then yesterday it went back to 10th rank again...now in less than 24 hours...it fell to 9th rank again....i think there are insecure people here who read that I am very happy to gain back the 10th rank and rated me negatively to spoil my happines..... there is positive and negative button on each comment, if people like your comment they will give you a +, and if you disagree with them they will give you negative.

Hi, hexebella, Please do not consider leaving the site just because your reputation increased and then dipped on the same day. Of course you will get paid, which we all like, but the main thing is that reputation will creep up again. So do not worry about that.

As I understood it from the comments, users are rating the comments we are posting +/-....what sad is a lot are abusing the system...if the comment does not agree with them they are rating it negative....now in less than 24 hours, after gaining the 10th rank....i fell to 9th rank....i didn't expect that this type of people exist in this community...envious, jealous, insecure....they want to spoil my happiness...i will still continue as I will still get paid LOL!

OMG! My ranking fell to no.9 again! somebody rated me negatively....maybe that person doesn't want me to be happy....anywa.....you will get he star when you reach 100 postings, so don't fret just keep on participating....cheers

Unfortunately, I fell back to 9th rank again, peopke would like to spoil my happiness and have rated me negatively....they are insecure people who are envious....anyway I will still continue posting and commenting....

Hey Hatley, I'm hexebella not yippeee..LOL! now I understand that some users are abusing the +/- rating just because the comment does not agree with them....in my entire usage fo this site, I have not rated anyone negatively since then, if the reply is non-sense or not in relation with the topic, i just simply ignore it.... I agree that we should help each other, if we find a comment helpful and sensible, we should not hesitate to give them a + rating.

As explained by other mylotters, the ranking is the result of other users rating to our comments....if they like the comment they will rate you + and if they don't agree with your comment, they will rate you negative which should not be the case as mylot's purpose is to dig the different views from different users....in less than 24 hours, the 10th rank I gain back has fallen now again to 9th rank...meaning some people has rated me negatively again....could be that they want to spoil my happines...anyway i'm not affected LOL!

thank you very much for that detailed and informative response....honestly I have not spent much time anylzing this...i was amused in the past months that i reached the 10th ranking....i thought it's the BR as it went up the same day I received the second BR...cheers!

I also do not know the exact amount per discussion as they have their own algorithms and it is determined by the quality of the content...I have noticed that I get paid more if I post a discussion than by responding....you will come to know as you go along....keep on learning....have fun!

tomman since Casandrina did not menton it please also read the guidelines , the rules of discussions and the questions and answers as they contain the answers to all your many questions about what you are supposed to do here,instructions if you like to think of them but read them, so many here do not bother and it works against them. if you do not know the ru es of discussions you will break them and mylot will delete them so you lose any earnings you made on that discussion.mylot admins has stated its giving all newcomers links to the information so you should have used it and read the material instead of asking us instead., theres more information there than what little Casandrina has given you so go read it for yourself.
