With my 2 dogs they run away from it, then when they realize it's not going to go away they come back and Start to bark at it.

I have had a lot of experience with animals and the vacume. Most run away like it's going to suck them up, I had a cat that let me put the hose on him and he just laid there as I "cleaned" him then I had a cat SIT on the dern vacume cleaner it's self. Too funny. The dogs are the ones that chase it at least thus far.!

my little Chihuahua is always barking at the vaccum as if it will hurt her , but she is one of her kind , she is also afraid whenI turn on the hairdryer .. But for the vaccum she is trying to protect her toys of being "abducted " by the vaccum !!

I have 2 dogs and a cat. The vacuum doesn't bother the dogs at all, but the cat hates it and goes and hides until I take the vac out of that room lol. I actually have the dogs almost used to getting their coats vacuumed. I used to have a dog that let me vacuum him as part of his weekly grooming practice. It sure cut way down on the floating dust bunnies! I'm in hopes that eventually these two (G. Shepherd and Shitzipoo) will get used to it too. I used to give a treat before I started the vac up, and while that worked well for the dogs, I'm totally clueless on how to get the cat used to it!

My mother got one dog Irish setter and two cats. One is orange and the other one is grey.Every one of them is scared of hoover, Cats jumping around and looks like wigs. Dog is scared and run away and try to hide. The problem is that he is too big to hide and it looks funny.
