Negligent doctors:must have punishment

Last Monday, I was watching the news my attention was catch by a news regarding 2 doctors that gave birth in Laoag City and I forget the other one. They have the same case, both babies were dead during the mothers' delivery for their first born baby. My heart melt and I felt a little anger to the doctors because they lack commitment to their work and don't have any concern for the mother and the baby. It was also reported that the baby was in breech position and the legs were already out so the 2 doctors pulled the legs that the head was left inside the mother's womb. They were just calmed explaining that time that the last resort they have to do is to pull the legs of the babies not thinking that the head will be left inside. I pity the mothers who took care of themselves and the babies for 9 months and excited to see their babies alive but in the end they will end up crying because their babies were already dead. We should give some punishment to these doctors for them to learn from their own mistakes and be cautious all the time.

The alibi that I have heard the doctor said on the news is that the patient did not come back for another round of check up to her doctor and the one who initiated the operation was not her doctor so the attending doctor didn't know that the baby's anterior foot is first and not the head. But that still doesn't make sense to me. How did he come to hide it as he stitched back the head of that poor baby. Be it a clinical mistake or not, he should be held liable to what happened. Anyway the governor already suspended the said doctor. Hope justice will be served to both families.

It is sad that that incident happened without any precautionary measures in part of the doctors. Even though they were not supposed the doctor who will attend to the patients they still have the responsibility to take good care of the babies and deliver them in good condition together with the mother.

It really is sad that this had to happen that's why this matter should be investigated by the government. If it was proven to be a negligence in the part of the doctors, they should really answer to the law and get their just punishment. If this continues, more mothers from a poor family will suffer the same fate.

The government had already conduct an investigation and they are planing to talked with the Philippine Regulatory Board for their license. The two families were given assistance for the burial of the two babies. It is really sad that the rate of the negligent doctors are increasing.

hmmm...i dont wanna sound bias or so but i dont think it is that easy to do their job too. sorry to say that. i am a nurse and i have for few times helped in this kind of procedure. they were always risky. in fact, at times it feel so slippery once the baby is on the hand that is why caution is always there but you know at times things screw up. not intentional.

yes!definitely!doctors should be punished..that's totally negligence..they should be careful on situations like this..even though the legs were already out they should know the proper way on how to deal incidents like that..good thing there are no nurses involve because mostly the blame will be placed on the nurses even if it was the doctors order..they should be really careful..newborns are still ver delicate and should be handled with care..

OH Dear Lord! I was having gooseflesh now. That is insanely terrible. How could they do that. The trauma that it caused the parents must be so difficult to carry on forever. Of course they should be punished. They even deserve to go to jail. The poor babies must have been hurting. That is so absurd. There are a lot of negligent doctors especially here in our country. I don't know how they even get their license. I am so sorry for the baby and parents and their family. They should push it to the limit to get justice. A c-section would have been an option.

The amount of negligent doctors are increasing day by day.. actualy The best way to punish these people is that they don't rewarded with huge standard degrees.
