Today is Raksha Bandhan, an important festival of India. It is festival of brothers and sisters. Life circle of human being is impossible without girls. Girls are more care taking of parents. Girls are not inferior in any fields from boys. But it is a question that priorty of every one is to have a boy. Is birth of boy possible without girl? Peoples are dare to kill the girls before birth. What is your opinion? Share these with you

Hi anil, raksha Bandhan is celebrated in the northern parts of India, whereas we here in the south dont have this custom. But I have read about its significance and feel that it became a practice during olden times when girls and women in general had not much say in anything. They just remained in the background and put up wit everything. They needed to be protected ...Of course things are different now though not so different in many parts of India where ladies are treated exactly the same way as they were treated a century ago...

It is rather unfortunate that this still happens in India but views are changing rapidly. Now, in the urban areas the views have almost changed though you cannot change everyone overnight. Slowly the rural areas will follow suit and the girls will surely have a better position in society. It is still a long way ahead but this is sure to happen.

For me yes so in the bible the wife is the helper of his husband but it doesn't mean that she has down rate to hies husband they must gave thankful and dignity because of the responsibility they care of.

Girls should be equal to boys. If there were only men the human beings would be going for extinction even if it would many centuries. Both sexes are needed for human race to live on.

Every one is equal. Although it is sad that some society does not accept this but this is the truth of life. You should love your kid whether the child is a boy or a girl. Killing someone because of gender is such a cruel thing to do. Hopefully, this view would be accepted on all societies.

You are correct. Girls are in every field of the development of India in new era. Views of parents should be changed regarding to the birth of ladies.

Life cycle is not possible without girls, yet boys are most preferred by parents in your country, I am sure it is changing these days. Here in our country having a kid/s is not about gender, whether it is a girl or a boy it doesn't matter as long as the child is health we are thankful for every kids added in the family. Anyway I wish to greet everyone a happy celebration for this Raksha Bandhan. have a great weekend jaiho®

I also do not understand why this hell is happening in India.Last year I got Rashka Bandhani from my Indian female friend and that time I heard about it.It was really nice and now she is no more my friend, from that they she become sister. She is so helpful.I like this Raksha bondhoni because for observing this festival I got a nice sister. Girls and boys are equal and there should not be any killing to a daughter.I wish that my first child would be a girl.
