Did You Ever Have One Of "Those" Days?

Ya know, today when I got up I smashed my little toe on a table and had to do all I could not to scream, (geez did that hurt). After I calmed down from that I decided to have a cup of coffee outside and enjoy the early morning. Well there I was sipping my coffee and a bird crapped on my shoulder. When I went inside my wife was laughing so hard that I thought she was going to stop breathing. Just when I thought my string of mishaps was over, I smashed my same toe on the same table that I had hit it on earlier. Well that was it for my wife, she was trying to be nice and attend to me but she could not stop laughing. I dared not go outside again because the same bird was probably waiting for me. Well I thought the worst was over until I dropped my cell phone and broke the led screen. The phone still works but I can't see anything on the screen. That's it for me, I went back to the bedroom and stayed in bed watching the TV all morning. The day is not over yet so I'm afraid to move for fear of what the next mishap will be, and yes my wife is still laughing every time she looks at me Soooo...how about you, how was your day?

Every now and again. I think that one of those days happened just a few weeks ago. It was very much a trial, not to mention a rather huge strain on my patience to say the very least. There are just a lot of times where nothing does in fact go right. However, there are just times where I just got to do what I can to survive that day and there have been times where its been a battle. People yelling at me, people wanting things done, me nearly getting injured, the Internet not working, the weather is bad, that was one of those days a few weeks ago that was a recipe for disaster and I just named the highlights of one of those days. I think that more often than not, I have either a good day or a day that is not memorable enough to go one way or another. Still one of those days do stick out. Otherwise, they would not be one of those days.

yeah megamatt we all have good and bad days. We can only hope that the good ones out weigh the bad ones, or at least as you said have a non memorable one. Oh well, such is life...we have to learn how to turn the bad days into good if that is possible sometimes, or at the very least make the non memorable ones lean to he good.

My day today was fine. It is not that good as I always wanted it to be but it all went fine. First I wasn't pretty much happy with my scores lately. I hated everything I had answered last midterm and yes, I wasn't that happy about it. However, eventhough i was sick today i manage to attend school just to take another exam and I was okay with my score then. Then the best part even if some part of it was the worst as well, I was almost drenched by the rain, but good thing my friend lend me his umbrella ?

Well orang13 it sounds like you did not have a great day but if you passed your exams that's the important part. Stay dry and prepare for the next exam. Good luck...

I recently had one of "those" days. Everything just seemed to go wrong. My husband and I wanted to park our next to the library. It is not a free parking lot and my husband wanted to pay with his creditcard. When he inserted the card, he broke it. We had to get some coins instead and on the way to get those coins I broke the heels on my one of my shoes. Then we went to the library and when we came back to to the car we discovered that we had received a parking fine, because my husband had placed the wrong receipt in the window. We went to the bank to exchange some money. When we were about to leave the parking lot one of the other cars almost hit our car. My husband was the driver and I was sitting next to him. I had a steaming hot cup of coffee in my hand and a library book on my lap. My husband had to move the car very fast to avoid the other car and I spilled the coffee, burned the skin on my stomach and damaged the library book. What a lucky day

Why do we laugh when someone trips and falls or gets hurt?!?! When I was younger a bird decided to poo on me. I was adjusting my swimsuit and at that same second, I felt it. Ewww... What are the odds of that? I should have played the lottery that day. But I can definitely relate to your bird poop story and having "one of those days". As the old saying goes, when it rains it pours. It seems as though once one bad thing happens to me, then there is more to come. Sometimes when I have a day like that, I wonder why I even got out of bed. I read or heard of a study that concluded that if you stub your toe or otherwise hurt yourself, you should swear because it will take some of the pain away. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Thanks mindym...My wife said also bad things happen in three's...soo I hope I'm done. By the way I did curse very much silently, lol. Anyway, today is a new day and the sun is shining bright...so it already started out better.

hi:) I don't want to be rude and laugh at you but by reading your post I really laughed, until now I'm laughing, so sorry again. but I also have that those days, I am sometimes so clumsy especially when I'm in a hurry, like last Monday morning I tripped while I was going down on our stairs but I'm still lucky because only two step left so nothing serious happened to me, then when I'm about to rise my brother was running and hit me with his bag so I fell again, I was so angry while they were all laughing at me, so at the end I also laugh because of my clumsiness.

I'm glad you were not hurt...My wife and I are still laughing at yesterday. It sure does not seem funny when this stuff happens but it sure is funny when you look back at it. Maybe you and I should tip toe the rest of the week so we don't hurt ourselves...lol

I've had one of those days before, where everything just seems to turn against you, both physically and mentally. But for me, most of the time, "those" days refers to the days where your mind keeps drifting off and worrying about various things in life, and you just can't seem to calm down! Those days are the worst for me, where all I do is worry about the future and over analyze various things in my life.

Ah yes scjbxz...I know what you mean. Over analyzing can be stressful but maybe sometimes it better prepares us for our future because we have sort of prepared in advance. For instance, I remember thinking about my future when I was younger, and wondering how was I going to pay for college and feed my family at the same time. I over thought this alot but I also made decisions from that thinking that benefited and prepared me for what was ahead. I guess what I'm saying, is take your thoughts at that time of over thinking and use them for positive solutions to your future. Because you are thinking ahead for your future, it will better prepare you for it when it arrives. Great accomplishments have been achieved because of ones thinking and sometime over thinking of the future. The trick is to use it to your advantage...
