Do you make breaded fish fillet?

I went to a birthday party many years ago and they have this breaded fish fillet. At first I thought it was chicken but I asked if its chicken, they said its a fish. I think it's a good idea for kids you don't eat fish because it actually was like a chicken fillet. I was looking for recipe on fish fillet but I can't find any breaded one. And I want to know what kind of fish is good for fish fillet that has some similar taste with chicken. Maybe you have an idea. Thanks

When you have to ask if it is chicken or fish, you are usually traveling on an airplane! Fish fingers are breaded - there must be a recipe for those somewhere. It's just a simple batter and breadcrumbs. You probably don't want the bright coloring that comes in the commercial products.

When I fry fish, I do it breaded half of the time. It depends on what fish it is. I would not bread a salmon, but at tastes wonderful with a white fish. As for it being similar to chicken, I have no idea. For me, I want my fish to taste like a fish.

Maybe white fish will do. I mean not really taste like chicken but don't taste much of a fish. Thanks!

In my experince, blue fish is excellent when it's breaded. Blue fish by itself really doesn't have a 'fishy' taste but with the breading no one would ever know the difference! You can either use House Autry seafood breader or just flour with salt and pepper to taste. The only issue with blue fish though is that unless you live near or on the coast, it can be very expensive, and that's if you can find it at all.
