Last night, I got a message from twitter that my account may have been hacked and asking me to change my password. I did so. But at the same time period, I began to have problems with my Yahoo email account. I keep having to log in. Every time, I go to check my yahoo emails, I have to log in. I keep checking off the box to remember me but it does not help. I am on my home computer. I have never had anything like this happen. In the past, I have had to log in about once a month.
Has anyone else had anything like this happen with twitter / yahoo? Are you currently having a problem with either one? Any suggestions about why I am having to log in every time I go to check my yahoo emails?

I uploaded the new yahoo, and now I get messages that my session has expired pretty frequently, but not as much as you are saying, and not really at regular intervals either. I have gotten no messages about twitter. About a month ago my Yahoo account was "compromised" and I had to set a new password.

Last year, my yahoo account was compromised and I had to change my password. Later on, I am going to go to twitter and try to do some research on my account. if there is customer service, I am going to send them an email.

There are some people on another site with a similar problem. She said she had to change her password, not give it to someone else. I agree it is good to go through a secure page to do that though. I did that on Yahoo, and I do believe my account was compromised, because I started getting dozens of Linked in invites from names that sounded clearly made up. I mean, three times in a day getting a request from three different guys with the first name of Xerxes, and then the entire Rayenz clan was inviting me to connect as well. I deleted the LinkedIn account, changed to a very strong password on Yahoo.

Well, time will tell. I hope that I have not been had. The message came from twitter or so it seemed. I was asked to change my password. I did not have to give it to someone else.
I had a problem with yahoo last year when a criminal enterprise hijacked my yahoo account. They did so by sending me a fake log in. It created some problems for me. I hope that this is not what happened with twitter.
I am going to try to check it out later or tomorrow.

You've probably been fooled into giving out your password because Twitter or any website, will not ask you for your password unless you specifically ask to recover your password and only you can do that. Twitter already has your info so they wouldn't ask you for it again.

Twitter did not ask me for my password. They sent me an email telling me that they felt my account had been compromised and asked me to change my password. I changed my password. But I am going to research the situation further.

I agree with petersum.Sounds like the hacker was the one wanting information.I used to get ones like that from the my bank.I asked someone about it and they said they would never ask you for your password. That is up to you to change. Please be careful.Go into your major acct and change your password to something no where near like your other one.

Twitter asked me to change my password. They did not ask me for my password. But I may have been had. I am going to look into it and I may send twitter customer service an email.
