Is it true when you get older your head will shrink?

I heard that as get you older not only will you become shorter in height, lose your teeth, and have gray and white hair or hair fall out, but also your head will shrink. Has anybody here witnessed that or experienced that? Want to confirm if the rumor is true.

I think that there are many interesting schools of thought. In fact, there are a lot of people who believe not only your head shrinks, but your entire body is something that is really going to shrink as well. I'm not going to say that I completely believe that but it is something that is extremely interesting to think about to say the very least. I really have never experienced that little fact either when one really thinks about it. Your head is not the only body part that shrinks but that is neither here nor there. Still I think that its all about perception and the fact that your body is showing signs of age. Perhaps the hair loss gives off the perception of a shrinking head area. Or the signs of aging on the face. It is rather fascinating to think about.

I don't think the head will shrink and I never heard about it.All i know as people get older some people will have a memory gap or loss and other will lead to dementia and Alzheimer's disease which it will happen if we are lacking of mind stimulation and a good nutrition is also important.

I don't know if the head physically shrinks. But, one thing for sure, one loses memory. That's what I am experiencing these days, as I get older. It get so hard to recall things, as simple as names. I sometimes remember the person very well, but just could not remember the name.

Iwin, I think the best think to do is have some type of poll or survey question. Get a group of elder people and ask them has there head shrink then.... Measure the head of a a 40 years old man as years go on measure it more haha.. But to be honest I don't believe so that rumor is a rumor failed hahA.. I think the only way is that if something really bad happens and they.. Then there head will shrink. As we get older. Don't shrink either we just louch more and lean over more making it lookk like they got short when they didn't haha

Hi iwinagain, We'll never know unless we get really older, then, that's the time we experience it ourselves. All the characteristics you mentioned about older people is part of the aging process. In old age, there is less activities to do. Mostly the person stays at home and do some knitting, read newspapers, watch over the grandchildren, and other less tiring activities. So, the consumption of food becomes lighter. If less food is eaten, it reflects on the person's body structure. His body shrinks; maybe that includes the head also.

I heard that a person's head is bigger when he is young. I have also heard that the neck will become shorter as a person grows old.
