Don't scare me please...

If there's one thing i'm scared of it's the ghosts! I'm not scared of criminals, not scared of people with guns! But i don't wanna see any ghosts at all.
I never had any face to face encounters of the third kind thing but i've heard them or so i thought. It happened last year in the summer, we moved in to our new house last year in February, a always stay up until midnight because i had classes then. We only had a few neighbors and some lots were still vacant. So it was really silent during the night.
My son wanted me to tuck him in bed and so i did. My husband was in another room and when he came into the room i told him our son has fallen asleep already and he said, yeah i know you tuck him into bed coz i heard you were singing to him. 
But i didn't! Then come midnight, i was mylotting and then i heard a woman's voice humming. I stopped typing, listened carefully and went near the window to check if a neighbor is putting her baby to sleep. But we had no neighbors!
Then again last night, i heard some footsteps on the second floor while we were having dinner. My husband said, it's Gary! But Gary was in the living room under the couch hiding!
But i didn't! Then come midnight, i was mylotting and then i heard a woman's voice humming. I stopped typing, listened carefully and went near the window to check if a neighbor is putting her baby to sleep. But we had no neighbors!

anyway, be wary of the white lady in your house that goes up and down your stairs.

Oh Toni that was scary. If i had experienced those that you have just narrated, i wouldn't dare be alone in a room anymore. I would just study in our bedroom where husband is snoring. 
But then, i am more afraid of criminals because they could harm us. I guess those ghosts just can scare us but not harm us.

If one should show up right in front of me, i'll die of a heart attack. But if a criminal would, i could defend myself and have a chance of escaping.

Well, maybe i would too.
But i salute my friend for having the courage to defend yourself. I think i would be frozen with nervousness to be able to deal with the criminal.

OH Toni, you made me feel scared with your description and graphic details. I do not believe in ghosts and I have not met any. All I can say is please take it easy and try to find the source of unknown voices, if you could.

this would really freak me out.. do you know if your house was bult on any kind of buriel ground or anything?

The lot is next to a cemetery but i love the serenity!

Geez..Is your new house really new? I mean, it could just be a renovated house. Someone may have used it before you do. And that someone may have a link to the ghosts you are hearing. Is that house already blessed? There are really lost souls who may have made contact with that house for some reason. Whenever you experience something creepy again, just pray. Still, I think you should also be scared with criminals because they are the ones who can instantly kill you. Be careful.

It's new. I saw it being constructed. And this ghost thing can be heard from the walls. I don't think it's our own house that is haunted. I think it's our neighbor's. The house next to us though vacant has been visited by the owner several times. And i recalled that this ghost thing started only when she first came to visit her house. I heard that some people bring ghosts with them.

I'm alone in my room right now and I am shivering while reading your posts. That was a really terrible experience. I haven't heard anything like that but I stayed in a boarding house before and have experienced having a nightmare. But I haven't heard any voices when I'm alone. And i hope I don't experience it ever.

Sorry for scaring you with this story. It didn't scare me that much though. I guess sounds like that won't scare me that much. But i don't wanna see anything at all.

I know just what you mean. I have never seen a ghost and hope never to see one. But there was a time that I felt their presence. I was working late at work all alone coz I had some deadlines to meet. People who work there said there's really a ghost roaming around and its a really old building. Well, I was working in front of my computer when I felt the hair at the back of my nape stood up like somebody was standing right behind me. What I did was to turn my music player really loud then hurriedly went home after i was done with my work.

I have a friend who can really see ghosts. She has a gift, a third eye or something, she would tell us that one time when she attended church (we go to the same local church) she got confused because she saw a lot of people attending, people she didnt know but she noticed their feet were not teaching the ground and theyre sort of floating. And another time, on an outing we stayed overnight on this exclusive resort at the foot of a mountain near the beach. We were about to have a hawaiian party near the pool and to get there you have to walk along a dark,narrow passageway and this friend of mine later told us that there were a lot of ghosts staring at us. They were not doing anything, just staring. Scary, if you ask me. Good thing she didnt tell me that when we were still there. Anyway, my friend told me she's used to seeing ghosts but she doesnt acknowledge their presence coz she says once she does that they dont go away anymore.

I suggest you quickly go to a medium or priest if you are a christian. These are ghosts and I am sure of that because I have heard them too. The voices. Sometimes footsteps walking to another bedroom and sometimes whispering to my ear. Ooh so eerie....

Oh thats great! Thats really nice to here how brave you are..yes pray god and with faith and courage, we can get the evils out of home. But I believe it wouldnot be a ghost. Becoz i believed twice and then it was humans and rats who scared me a lot on nights! Funny..LOL!

I am a Christian but not a Catholic and we don't believe in mediums. WE ourselves can invoke the evil spirits through our own faith.

Oh this is scary! But i had similar experiences at my home..but funnily it was rats at the garden making creeky noises. But if you believe in ghosts really, call the church priest, they can really find the solution even though your house is not haunted, they can do some thing to safeguard your home.

Ghosts, spirits do exist, they have there own place, own world, they live in a parrel plane, normally don't disturb us or harm us..
i have many such experiences of seeing ghosts, lagunas

oh that's one scary situation, i will be too much scared especially if my kid sleeps alone in the room where the woman's voice comes from. I am also most afraid of ghosts and also darkness. my mom is never scared of darkness and ghost stories but i am. Try to find your house previous owner details before its too late

This is a newly built house and we are the first owners. And i don't think it's coming from the house but from our next door neighbor. The sound just seem like it's coming from the walls.

We have the same fear. There is one area in our house that i don't like going to when i am alone and this is our storage area. Whenever i go there's an eerie feeling that i can't explain. I have witness lots of ghost experience when i was in Dubai. There are times i feel them but I don't really feel anything eerie about it i know they are just there but they are the nice ones. When we were about to move to another flat i video our room and other parts of the house. Everybody was in the ground floor already and i was left alone inside the flat because i had lots of good memories there when all of a sudden a silhouette of a man just appeared while taking the video so i immediately ran to the ground floor and told my friends what just happened :)

Oh dear, didnt you see the movie casper? It changed my perception about ghosts. In case you have not yet seen this one, it is about a so very loving and cute ghost named casper.
I too was (and think still am) quite scared of these ghosts but when it comes to staying alone at a new place, I tell myself, let the Ghost come, I would have a invite him/her for a chat and am sure it would be a pleasurable time for both of us.

I was a fan of Casper when i was a kid. I love Wendy the witch, his best friend! And i have seen the movie. But it's far from reality thesids.

oohhh.. that sure is very scary. I am scared of noises too.. And your experience is not strange at all. I think it will take me time to get over your post. Our house is a bit big and I am left alone when my husband goes to work, there are sounds that I hear sometimes, but try to neglect them telling myself they are just normal sounds. I wound sometime tell my experience to my husband and he would tell me not to be afraid of things I don't see, I have to be afraid of living things more than anything. But it is normal to be afraid, especially in your case. Have you had your house blessing already? Keep praying.
