So, I was in the gift shop at a city tour and found this great button and just HAD to share it with my fellow childfree people. What do my fellow childfree people think of it?

Hmm, i like the color of the button , but i think i don't like what it says that we stop having children. We are mandated by God to bear children, so let's obey Him, but of course discern too as to how many we should have. But i am wondering , how can stopping having children stop global warming? Anyone who knows please?

Some fictional book written many, MANY years ago wouldn't apply to us today, even if it was true. The earth is so "replenished" that it's overflowing. Do you really think any "god" would want us to destroy our planet? Because, that's exactly what we're doing and the more people that populate the earth, the faster it gets destroyed. There are WAY too many people out there producing WAY too much pollution and garbage. It's probably too late to stop global warming, but at least if we slow down on the reproducing, it might at least help. I don't care what any fictitious dude says we or I should do, I do what *I* feel is best for me and that's NEVER having any kids. It just happens to be a bonus for the rest of the world.

I think the button is an interesting take on global warming and being childless. First off, it's very extreme. Sure, not having kids might stop global warming, but it would also end the human race. Not to mention there are other ways of stopping or decreasing the risk of global warming. Second, I partly agree and disagree with SIMPLYD. God wants us to have kids, but I think we also have a choice. A couple can choose whether or not they want to live their lives with kids--I don't think it's a sin or disobeying God to have any.

You guys are taking this a little too seriously and literally. I'm pretty sure it was just meant as a joke. (Although, I couldn't agree more.) Besides, who cares if it ends the human race? At least then, the animals would be much happier and the earth can be happier and be a better place. Secondly, I couldn't care less what some fictitious dude says what I "should" or "shouldn't" do.
