Hello MYLOTTERS,
From 1st of this September my children will start going to PLAY SCHOOL.Wow i am so happy that they will start a new chapter in their lives. My wife is also happy though for some another reason that she may be getting some free time as she is bored of with her daily busy routines now.
But i have a something in my mind which is upsetting me that how will my kiddies stay in school alone without us as we have never kept them away from us for small time also. Will they cry or mingle with other children. My daughter is so sweet whenever i ask her will she be going to school she always says by widening her eyes yes PAPA i will.
I know they will have to go but i am upset by the thought of it.Had you experienced the same thing????

Hi sjvg
Though not a parent yet, I quite understand your concern and feelings. But then, this is what is right and they have to grow up. I hope you are going to drop them to school and pick them up back to home.
Now, I would see/try to find your next discussion where you inform us - whether you cired as the kids normally do at school or you acted smart and tough like your so loving daughter
Good Luck

That phase is quite worrisome. One of my son's found it difficult to adapt whereas the other was better suited to a play school. One of the parent was allowed for a few days to give them a secure feeling.I think you are doing a fine job by telling your child quietly that she has to one day go to play school. This makes them prepared for play school and school in later years.

Hello picjim,
I know it will be problem in the starting
and things will be settled down once they will start going to school
.The only plus point is my both kids will go to school together so in some way they will not have the feeling that they are alone.

I understand your feeling as I have been there. But the thing is, your children are growing and going there alone without you is part of that growing up stage. I am sure that everything will work out fine. The school is obviously prepared for such situation and sooner or later your child will adapt to such and will find it comfortable as school days go by. Though always consider that when they are starting their schooling, your responsibility is still there and that is to guide them and help them cope up with their lessons. Best to you and best to your children.

Hi sjvg...
I have no experience from my kids as i am bachelor now but can say that when i was a kid and started to go school. I do remember by mom's information that i kicked out a classmate and mom got a complain on very first day of my school. I was too naughty. lol

Hi sjvg,
I am happy to hear that your children is going to enter in new life which has no alternative.Nothing to worry buddy.Hope they will be ok and habituated within few days. They will get new friends and enjoy there.
I understand your feelings,You can do one thing is that for 1st week you can stay outside of their school to observe and guide them.Let them understand that its a place to enjoy and friendship.
Dont worry buddy, everything will be fine.
